I think they should experiment more with the 6-figure mini-sub like the 30th anniversary figures.
You could do a 'Movie line'. Buy the rights to the stuff you dont' have (ie Dolph and Langella Skeletor) and do say, a Movie He-Man, Movie Skeletor, Blade, Saurod, Gwildor and Karg.
Or a New Adventures line. NA He-Man, Skeletor and four others.
I mean if people will pay for a mini sub that includes THE MIGHTY SPECTOR, they'll pay for stuff that actually has nostalgia value!

Breaking news: TOM PARIS is tweeting about He-Man toys twitter.com/RobbieMcDuncSadly it's a retweet, he's not saying "BUY A SUB SO WE CAN GET A FIGURE OF THAT GUY I PLAYED FROM THE MOVIE. YOU KNOW. HIM."

That's not Gwildor!
EDIT: Oh, he's dead, I guess I can be less outraged that he's not made a video yet.
COME ON GUYS IF YOU BUY A SUBSCRIPTION GWILDOR'S GHOST WILL BE HAPPY

No news yet on He-Man, I'm on the edge of my seat!
If there isn't a Gwildor, Blade and Saurod in the 2013 subscription I'll cry though!
Really though, it's a lesson in needing to show people what they're paying for. If you're going to want $500+ off people for toys, don't show them just four or so. Show them at least half! I mean the 2013 sub might be all Snake Man-At-Arms or Mighty Spectors!

It went through: he-man.org/news_article.php?id=2816And only after the subs close is one of the figures for the sub announced. I will never understand Matty's business practice so long as I live. And lucky they had other sites advertising their line for them for free, eh? Still, I will just pre-order a Ram Man through one of the Ebay sellers I use. -Ralph

But in other news, Dolph wants to be a king in the new film if it happens! he-man.org/news_article.php?id=2813Yes, yes, I know it's press junket fluff and one of a million Dolph interviews for another film, but let me cling to this infinitely small rope of hope! -Ralph

GELDOR!!!!! YES!
To be fair the fan vote thing finished at midnight at the same time as the subs closed.
Still, it's madness to not show most of the line if you're expecting people to drop so much money on it!!

Oh boy, so many bitter tears over at the he-man.org forums because the mighty GELDOR won the poll and beat this generic WoW-looking elf thing called Illumina whose sole appearance was in one advert. Apparently Mattel closed the poll early, CONSPIRACY!!!!!!

I've never understood the fan-love for Illumina, I must admit.
For once I must defend Matty. There is no conspiracy. More folk voted for Geldor by a tiny tiny majority.

People really have been getting their knickers in a twist about people "not supporting the line". I see from He-Man.org that one guy bought 33 subscriptions! At $500 each plus P&P and whatever sales tax his state imposes I have to say that is beyond insane.
I am still buckling in my He-Man addiction. I found myself accidentally buying King Randor and Queen Marlena the other day. Marlena is here already and fair swishing about all queenly but I have no need for any more! Although the Horde figures are so tempting...

I love how even Mattel in statements seem to be casting scorn upon 'cherry pickers' as if not buying literally everything put out under the brand name is some sort of moral failing.

Well, I remain a big He-Man fan. I just don't buy often from the MOTUC line due to cost and difficulty getting figures. I picked up a dozen of them when I had a higher disposable income and every single one was fantastic! Haven't bought any in the last year more due to space issues, but after another clearout or two I hope to have space for a few more. Marlena, Man-E-Faces, Panthro, Fisto, Bow, Sy-Klone are on my 'would love to have' list.
I would like a Teela, but I seem to have missed the boat on that one. Snout-Spout was a must until I saw the QC issues.
Nothing will stop me getting a hold of Ram-Man next year though!
And King Randor is a great figure.

I love how even Mattel in statements seem to be casting scorn upon 'cherry pickers' as if not buying literally everything put out under the brand name is some sort of moral failing. They seem to have forgotten one of the basic rules of retail which is that very few customers of any line will want to/be able to buy everything in that particular line of products. Hence why it's good to have a variety of goods at various price-points, etc. And this is a line which for most of its life relied on a 'cherry picker' pattern of behaviour from its consumers! Heck, you want a wide variety of customers! So that if one person just wants to buy one MOTUC figure and be happy with that (say someone just wants a He-Man fig) then that's a sale and there is nothing wrong with that! -Ralph

And also: I would like to be able to order them for an equivalent price to what the Yanks do from Mattel UK or at the very least Mattel Europe!

MOTUC is such a low priority for Mattel, I doubt he is on their radar much for his antics. If he acted the way he does on one of their core brands he would be in hot bother indeed, I imagine!

Reports out of Power-Con suggest a Castle Greyskull is on the way, scaled to the Classics figures. Yes, it's $200 but at that scale it will be bloody huge. I may need to save up...

NA He-Man does indeed look rather splendid! Details of Castle Greyskull here: he-man.org/news_article.php?id=2956Now, I am in two minds about this. On the one hand I am chuffed it is being made and the ideas for it sound most grand indeed. It could turn out to be a humdinger of a playset. On the other hand, however, those terms and conditions for ordering look dodgy as fook. I can see people being put off, but I would like the Castle to exist. *scratches chin* -Ralph
