I don't know Ralph, postmen don't come on Sundays. I don't know about that. I came back from a walk this morning to find a "we tried to deliver...." card behind the front door. Although it was dated yesterday I know for a fact that it wasn't there on Saturday, because my shoes were there and I would have noticed when I went out this morning. Perhaps their is some costumed post hero trying to help them clear the backlog? Karl

Although it was dated yesterday I know for a fact that it wasn't there on Saturday, because my shoes were there and I would have noticed when I went out this morning. On particularly dull Sundays I wander the streets putting Royal Mail "you-were-out" cards obtained on the black market through the letterboxes of random houses whose occupants are clearly at home, just for fun. That looks like it could be quite good. The IMDB page has already taught me that Barbara Hambly wrote for She-Ra, something I didn't know.

Zodac (The Cosmic Enforcer) and Grizzlor (The Ferocious Figure With Fur) are finally here. Now to see if the postal system will cough up Battle Cat.

Cool. I have not been able to find one.
Battle-cat is awesome btw. And yes, other figures can ride him.

Is that like fabric?
Does Zodac have a removable headset?

Matty have commented that removable helmets and fabric aren't happening in this line.

Not particularly a fan of He Man (a year or two outside of the sweet spot for the original toyline) nut I have to say that the level of attention to detail of the currrent collectors line is deeply impressive - the sculpts on some of these toys have an impressive level of attention (the cheekbone sculpt on Prince Adam, the impressive level of articulation on Battlecat). If you want to do a collector-targeted line of toys in the western market then you need to be stealiing inspiration from Mattel's Masters line. Seriously.

Take inspiration from the designs but not the marketing or distribution policy.

They are indeed awesome, even if a little overpriced.
Its said that Mattel's WWE range is even more attentive to detail and quality. Yet that stuff is out more commercially in the shops and the companys biggest 'boys toys' earner.
Considering She-Ra as my next figure, though I might have missed the boat with her as I did Trap Jaw.

Take inspiration from the designs but not the marketing or distribution policy. Andy Indeed. This is why none of my figures were bought directly from Matty. I would rather do so to support the line but they make it too difficult. I could take a day off work to try and hit their site within the 3 mins it now takes for toys to sell out and probably end up with nothing or I could just use Ebay... -Ralph

Also the fact the security on the site is dreadful is not much of an incentive to buy direct.

I don't use Matty either.
It also helps to have close pals abroad to use as a go-between.

Take inspiration from the designs but not the marketing or distribution policy. Andy Oh absolutely. The disconnect between the actual design and manufacture of the line and the way it has been managed and marketed is huge. Karl

Indeed.
As splendid as the Classics line is, I would still like to see MOTU back where it belongs: on toy shelves for the kiddies.
I would say the odds of that happening will be very high if the new Thundercats toy-line/TV show does well and Mattel want to cash in on Bandai's success. It's really the only other comparable 80's thing. It might be what Mattel need to notice before they realise they're sitting on an evergreen money-spinner with proven international appeal.

Still waiting on Teela. I may call it a day with MOTUC unless it starts cropping up where it should be.
I hope Mattel pick up on the obvious territory Thundercats will be taking in 2011 and stop holding back this decent line. If MOTUC does'nt duke it out with Thundercats on the toy shelves by 2012 the new TMNT line probably will instead.

WOw... Cattra and the cosmic key!
Who is Vikor? I've never heard of him before.
If my halfway house across the globe won't mind, I'll have a go at getting the She Ra VS Supergirl 2-pack,

Vikor is a new character. The mould is based off of early He-Man concept images by Mattel employee Mark Taylor back in the day.

I think the idea of Wundar is cool, being that he's a tribute to Wonderbread He-Man. The bread sheild is an accesory to envy.
I am intrigued that the figure also comes equipped with a map of Eternia. I don't think a map has ever been done before (with the mini-comics maybe?). Thundercats always had the map of Third Earth with some mediums.
