2 or so years on from my ebay acquisition and 2002 Beast Man no longer smells of tobacco. He now smells of dettol instead...

he-man.org/news_article.php?id=1819Turn and Burn plan a German adventure! You can't sniff at 29 Euros for weekend accomodation and catering. Also can I point out: 'During the course of the convention we´ll offer softdrinks, water, coffee and beer' That's right, beer. Hurray for Germany. -Ralph

Neato! Would like to go to something like that, but cant even make it to Cons in my own country so this is unlikely. I hope this event turns out well.
Been trying to find a MOTUC Wun-Darr, but no such luck yet. The Toast Sheild looks like the best accessory ever.

That was the Matty subscriber freebie for 2010 IIRC so it's harder to come by alas.

It's a nice looking figure. Tis on the 'to acquire' list. -Ralph I am glad I bought it. Part of the fun is the gemstone mystery with his staff. I hope I get a red stone, but not fussed if I end up with either green or purple. Still awaiting the arrival of Ro. I just hope its not my turn to have the vaseline if the CUTA crew at Royal Mail randomly hold my parcel hostage. King Hiss looks cool, but I am holding out for a General Rattlor if Matty does one. I wonder if a MOTUC Cobra Khan would retain the water pistol gimmick. ===KEN

Mattel are so bizarre. While their He-Man figures may not be top tier, they do consistently sell out almost instantly and they do charge a premium price for them!
They also say some really odd things that just can't be true. Like, if they wanted to fix Statos's wings in a future run (the current ones are glued or something) then telling the factory not to put the glue on the wings would equal a 'tooling slot' so fans would miss out on a new character being tooled, and it is impossible to reissue him and just leave off the glue. Surely not Mattel, surely not.

It's just bonkers. I fail to understand how they are next week putting out the next batch of the Hsss figure. Which they now know is defective. But will charge full price for. And have no intention of fixing. And are telling their customers to stop complaining. Most odd.
Mistakes do happen and yes it is a small line. but I fail to grasp why they would want to sell more of a defective product. That's how to lose business. I can understand why subscribers especially are not too happy.
Surely a recall is the sensible option? Just park the figure until they can afford to do a corrected one. People would cope.

Haha wow, apparently if you swap them round, the shoulder pieces are misaligned so they scrape the chest. The error must have happened when the tooling was given articulation. Tut tut tut At least when we get substandard TFs they are cheap!
