If no one minds a noob tagging along then it would be fun to come and meet the few regulars who weren't at TFN last year. I'm up for a day out in Birmingham, but it'd probably just be the Saturday. Shockers promised to appear at THIRSK '17, but we've yet to see the film to work out which bit of the road we need to stand on. |

If folk are around on the Friday afternoon or evening I was thinking I could pop through to Birmingham to meet up for a banter - I'm only an hour away by train and I'm not in the office on Friday. Planning to base myself at home this year though - two days worth of return train tickets turned out to be cheaper than getting a hotel room in Birmingham on the weekend of the May Day bank holiday...

Option A is come up Friday and stay courtesy of late rooms. Unlikely because I am returning from London Friday.
Option B is come up early Saturday and meet you all at the con.
Option C is come up later Saturday and meet you all for some food and drinks#
Option D is I'm in a big pile and don't get out the door.

At this point I'm a no-show. Train fares alone are out of my reach right now, let alone trying to score a hotel room. Imma keep looking at the last minute stuff, but... 'tis a right bummer.
