McFeely believes that Hot Rod - along with all the other pieces on the below image - were done by Andrew Griffith for Shout!'s DVD releases. I've been meaning to tweet him to confirm (or deny).

That would surprise me, but he's pretty good at aping styles when he wants.
I'd still have put money on them being Don Fig work.

Well it's at least pretty munch confirmed that Don did the art for The Transformers - The Movie (20th Anniversary Special Edition) The Transformers - The Movie (20th Anniversary Special Edition)
I guess the jury's still out on the other Shout! releases.

Unicron cover at Hachette Unicron image from the last page of Unicron #3. Is the Starscream image from the Dreamwave profiles? I thought I remembered bad Pat Lee art for Starscream's profile.

Yeah, it's the inner robot for Pretender Starscream.

Yeah, it's the inner robot for Pretender Starscream. Ah, ok cool. Thanks! What is he doing with his right arm - it's in a very weird pose. Maybe he was climbing out of the pretender shell but the shell was edited out?

I think he's doing the robot.
Which is apt I suppose.

Just got Issue 93/Volume 87, and it’s Lost Light 19-24. So 25 will presumably be in the Unicron book.

Had to visit the store 3 times this morning before I got my hands on the book, only to find it had been almost bent in half in the delivery tote. I had to pass on it.
As they only get sent one copy now and this one will be sent back for a refund theres a good chance they wont send any more issues in which is annoying as hell.
Oh well at least I only have 8 issues left to track down.

It's the second half of the Historia, including the Optimus Prime profile. Cool, going by the previous volume, I have 87 now listed as Contains Lost Light issues #19 to #24. Bonus material includes the second half of Transformers: Historia (after Last Stand of the Wreckers), including the Optimus Prime profile, a cover gallery and an intro by Simon Furman.

I had bookmarked the Hachette TF section for when G2 part 2 came up for order. The website went down for maintainence and now appears to be spruced up. I can no longer find TF titles. When I search it only brings up Marvel. Didn't click anything and noticed something in the basket which is a random Ghost Rider book! Tried to take it out the basket but just kept getting a 'shipping is only for customers in the UK' message.
Er.

Here's the description: Unicron Issue 95 The end is nigh, as a planet-sized being that devours worlds locks horns with Cybertron and all of its colonies. The IDW/TF-verse reaches a beyond-epic conclusion, with just about everyone in an all-out battle against extinction, as the universe-shattering threat of Unicron comes to end everything. This bumper-sized volume includes the pathos-soaked final issues of ongoing series Optimus Prime and Lost Light.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this, but...
Did anyone collect the TPBs for IDW's stuff. I have a number of them, but far from all, especially as time went on. I'm asking cos a lot of the trades list the bonus features as "unknown" on the TFWiki, especially for the later stuff. I'm sure most of the time it's just a cover gallery, but if someone can let me know, I'd appreciate it.
If anyone would like to help, I'll go thru and find out what trades need the info.

Recieved my subscriber copies for Issues 93 and 94. As far as extras for Issue 94/Volume 91: Generation 2: Part 2 goes, it has the typical intro and cover gallery (which also includes the covers for the titan books graphic novels that collects the G2 comics, Dark Designs and Rage in Heaven), a 1 page intro to the second G2 UK Fleetway strip reprinted (War Zone), which is reprinted with 4 of its pages to a single page for 3 pages total. It also has a 1 page Derek Yaniger profile and a 1 page 'Outro' by Simon Furman discussing his thoughts on the series and what happened with regards to it and his work on Regeneration One and the thought processes behind continuing that series from Issue 80 of the original series and sidestepping G2.

That "Earlier interview" is just Yaniger's introduction to one of Titan's G2 books isn't it?

That "Earlier interview" is just Yaniger's introduction to one of Titan's G2 books isn't it? Not sure, but I am not a fan of his Transformers art at all, and Kai Zama tried to imitate it. I think the best official artists are Don Fig (before he started doing live-movie style), Guido Guidi and Casey Coller. Oh, and Alex Milne, and I'd even throw the Lost Light guy Jack Lawrence in there. I haven't looked at enough of the 2019 continuity to say one way or the other.

It was really inconsistent early on where it was alternating between Angel Hernandez and Cachet Whitman and one was doing cartoony designs while the other was slavishly copying the Siege toys but it's settled down a lot into looking kinda like later parts of the previous continuity. Part of that will be down to both Alex Milne and Sara Pitre-Durocher turning up on some issues. I just wish they'd get two artists with similar styles so that they can keep getting the pages out in time and have a consistent team.

Cool. I went to the site, and in true Hachette style, the descriptions of volumes 94 and 97 are reversed.
