Yes, yes it did. I remember his pain and agony. I can sympathise, I had the same reaction to the Tom Cruise War of the Worlds disaster.

That film, man... I'd passed through rage and into some distant land of calm disassociation by the time I left the cinema.
The come down was not pretty.
Tripods were good though.

Ahhh! A move! A move! (I assume it's 'pawn to b4', in which case it should have been noted as 'b'4, not 'B'4... but anyway...) d4 D4? If you are a Wizard then invest in a Quarterstaff, seriously. If you are any other class you have no excuse for not having something that rolls a larger damage die than that. Get something that rolls a D6 or D8 at least - if you are a Fighter and not dealing at least D10 before strength and magical bonuses then I hope it is because you are a dual-weapon specialist at least! Hmmm, interesting question, don't know. Also, should one play 3. Nf3 in the King's Gambit, or just go for broke with 3. Bc4, thereby risking the check on h4 from the black queen?

I don't think Picard would play the King's Gambit, I think he'd be a d4 man, maybe a Vienna game, and as black the French defence, naturally.
