Martin, ahem sorry, Big Phil, made a critical mistake! And kept making it! I was never concerned. Even when he was coming at me hard. Chess Hard.
The mistake?
There's only one rule to doing well at chess. Just one rule: DEVELOPMENT.
Phil, what are your knights doing on their starting squares at the end of the game?!
Develop Develop Develop Develop. That's all you gotta do. Get your pieces out. Out and about. Control some of the centre if you can, get Castled, but above all else GET YOUR PIECES OUT.

I also made one specific mistake right at the end which shortened the game by at least a few moves, namely believing that Shockprowl's Queen couldn't put my King in check without being taken by the King, when in fact the Rook was covering one of those squares and so preventing the King from moving into it.
When you asked me to choose whether to take your Knight or your Pawn, I think I should have ignored you and done neither, and done something else instead to keep your Rook out and/or, as you say, get one of my Knights out.
