Spychangers should just return as they are and sold individually as pocket money Transformers again. (and by pocket money, I mean about £2.99 and not creep up to £7.99+ like the Legends did).

Also, I'm pretty much sure the gobot and original spychanger molds (x-brawn, scourge, optimus, ultra magnus) are dust, they got used so much.
I always felt (and still do) that the legends/legions are the spiritual successor to gobot/spychangers.

From the RiD Thread: tfwiki.net/wiki/Japanese_ID_number_list#G-2TRF-01 Convoy TRF-02 Megatron TRF-03 Effectro TRF-04 Autovolt TRF-05 Hot Row TRF-06 Firebot TRF-07 Skyjack TRF-08 Space Case TRF-09 Hooligan TRF-10 Dreadwing TRF-11 Road Rocket TRF-12 Road Big TRF-13 Battle Convoy TRF-14 Aero Raid TRF-15 Strafe TRF-16 Jetfire Interestingly that Japanese G2 numbers list is missing the Gobots. I *KNOW* they did come out in Japan as there are Japanese variants for Op, Megatron and Soundwave. But did any of the others?

While we were on the Zoom call last Saturday and discussing Gobots/Spchangers my attention was drawn to the Firecracker/Rev and Gearhead/Wars moulds. Between G2 and CR/Rid they effectively swap colours: Wars gets Firecracker's Red car body and yellow lower legs
Rev gets Gearhead's Yellow car body and red lower legs AND his Firebird bonnet decal Then I looked a bit more closely at the others, specifically Blowout/Hot Shot and High beam/Crosswise, and they do something similar: Hot Shot gets High Beam's black car body
Crosswise gets Blowout's Clear car body Double Clutch's white nearly stays the same as Mirage, it turns more of a slightly off white. Motormouth's Blue is the only real change to Ironhide, with the blue becoming a pure white. Some tabled data on how these are gang moulded..... Mold | Part | Colour | Part | Colour | Part | Colour | Firecracker (1) | Car Body & Gun | A | Lower Legs & Under Bonnet | B | Upper Legs & Body | E | Gearhead | Car Body | B | Lower Legs & Under Bonnet | A | Upper Legs & Body | C | Blowout | Car Body (2) & Gun | C | Lower Legs & Under Bonnet | F | Upper Legs & Body | D | Highbeam | Car Body | D | Lower Legs & Under Bonnet | D | Upper Legs & Body Gun (3) | B | Double Clutch | Car Body, Head & Lower Legs | E | - | | Upper Legs & Body, Body Joint & Gun | F | Motormouth | Car Body | F | Lower Legs & Under Bonnet | C | Upper Legs & Body | A |
So Colour | G2 Gobots | G2 Gobots W2 | Gobot Leaders | Car Robots | Jusco | Super | Super Clear | RID Spychangers | KB1 | KB2 | A | Clear Red | Blue | Red | Yellow | Clear Yellow | Dark Blue | Clear | Yellow | Clear Yellow | Clear Yellow | B | Yellow | Neon Yellow | Yellow | Red | Clear Red | Grey | Clear | Red | Clear Red | Clear Purple | C | Clear | Purple | Silver | Black | Clear Orange | White | Clear | Black | Clear Black | Clear | D | Black | Black | Black | Clear | Clear Cyan | Clear Green | Clear | Clear | Clear | Clear Orange | E | White | Black | White | Off White | Clear Blue | Red | Clear | Off White | Clear | Clear Green | F | Dark Blue | Silver | Dark Blue | White | Clear Greem | Black | Clear | White | Clear | Clear Blue |

*wibble* Where the fudge are our updates of Gobots Optimus and Megatron, Hasblowwwww? Toyhax put out a set of labels to turn Siege Sideswipe into Gobots Optimus Prime. It should be a no-brainer, really...

All THREE now have Soundwave's Transformers T Logo on their bonnet but that's the only difference for Megatron. Optimus is very similar to his western version, T logo aside, but the yellow on his legs is no longer bright yellow of Wave 1's Gearhead but is now the more sickly Wave 2 Soundwave Yellow. Likewise Soundwave has swapped his wave 2 Sideswipe blue for Optimus' revision wave solid red *and* the wave 2 Frenzy purple on his upper legs, body and head for Megatron's revision wave silver. Here's Jim's excellent pictures of the Japanese Gobot Leaders plus comparisons to the earlier western versions: tmukhub.proboards.com/post/334923/threadFrom Week 5T: What is the best Japanese Gobot Repaint? As far as I can see only 3 Gobots were released in Japan: Optimus Prime, Megatron & Soundwave, abnd even they don't have Japanese ID numbers. These were made for the Japanese market and are gang moulded together which, since Optimus & Megatron are from the western revised wave 1 and Soundwave is from western wave 2, creates some interesting variations: Columns: Blowout Double Clutch Firecracker Gearhead High Beam Motormouth
Rows: Row 1: Gobots Wave 1 Row 2: Gobot Leaders Gobots Megatron, Optimus Prime and Variant Gearhead & Motormouth Row 3: Gobots Wave 2 Row 4: Japanse Gobot Leaders + Oddities: Japanese Gobots Megatron, Optimus Prime & Soundwave, Botcon Nightracer
If you drag your cursor over each image you should get a popup telling you what it is. Clicking on it will take you to it's TFWiki page

Aye, I thought we'd seen them before on here. It's the seeing of them in the packaging that does it, though...

In fact the only character who isn't actually Hardhead is Hardhead himself, since Headmaster Hardhead is actually a gestalt entity made up of both Hardhead and Duros.

No, I didn't bother with packaging variants, I'm not that crazy [yet].

Nah, then I'd end up with tiny tins. The toys are the important thing, I generally open figures [or intend to]. The only subline I collected to keep sealed was single carded Action Masters.
What I will add next for the Gobots/Spychangers collection are the unreleased G2 lot. You know, after I win the lottery.
