Well, I mean the alternative is a Megatron who's Screen Accurate to a movie he was never in (Bumblebee).
And if I'm honest, I kinda wanna see them try to pull that one off.
But SS86 wouldn't be accurate either, because they will never have Megatron be a gun again.
So... Earthrise Megatron with movie battle damage? Yawn.
I do think it's a mistake, but I think it might be WfC Megatron, instead.
We have a SS86 Rumble, and there was no "TF6" Rumble (to my knowledge). So that one could go several ways.
Sunstreaker could be SS86, (ER redeco/retool, or a new mold), or it's WfC

On the plus side, this opens the door for MP G1 Jazz, right? If it doesn't there's going to be some very grumpy Jazz fans. At least one of which I live with. And she's the important one. So let's hope so. |

I am, of course, going to buy this. It's a Mirage. Albeit a slightly confusing one. Given that this version has a visor and the film doesn't (from what I remember) maybe he was supposed to be Jazz at one point? People are saying that if you zoom in you can see that it's not actually a visor, but blue eyebrows. I can't quite see it myself though. So... maybe? |

It would certainly be interesting. Although I am suspicious of these - especially since it mentions TF7 "Scorpinock", and I don't think he's yet been mentioned as being in Rise of the Beasts. He may well be, and these mistakes could be the result of someone memorising the list rather than copying from a listing somewhere. But...

I think this was intended to be jazz, originally.
The decision to change him to Mirage probably had something to do with the way the character was written not being a good match.

I'm almost excited by the prospect of new WFC figures. I love that aesthetic but couldn't keep up with the Planet X releases. Being able to swap out the old Generations Deluxe Jet trio for new Voyagers sounds cool. I just hope the Megatron comes somewhere close to the PlanetX one I've never managed to get the cash together for. Still want that, it looks amazing. This also means I must get the one Planet X Dinobot missing from my collection, then the new WFC figures can fill in around them.
Well, until Studio Series moves on to FoC and we do it all again. Again. Again. Again....
