I guess it's MV6 rather than TF6 because the others are all called "TransFormers (subtitle where applicable)" and this film was just called "Bumblebee".

Cheetor is not better in hand.
What he is, is a very beautiful sculpt that is muddied by a very unflattering shade of plastic. Trying to be screen accurate, and thus are restricted in deco choices? They still could have given him an inkwash to bring out those details.
I say it's a beautiful sculpt, and it is. But it's not a very good mold. It does seem to draw more from BM Cheetor than BW, so there's that. It's rather complex for a very basic "stand the cat up" transformation. But at the same time, it's very basic. Could easily be pulled off as a deluxe. It could go a lot further to hide robot parts in beast. And beast parts in robot.
A better deco would do wonders on this, but it'll never be a great toy. I'd be hard pressed to buy this mold again, and can only think of two ways I would- - This turns out to be wrong and Cheetor in the movie has a much more vivid deco that requires a more accurate redeco - It gets some batshit off the wall surprise redeco like McPanther.
I look forward to the mainline deluxe.

Oh my god battletrap's transformation is bloody AWFUL. And Hasbro's idiotic printing format renders his instructions absolutely useless.

The difference a sleep makes: My view on Battletrap has softened a bit. However my view on Hasbro's instruction format has not.
He's a decent robot with an interesting design, though his tow assembly on his arms are nothing but in the way, and his shoulders and upper arms feel undersized. Transformation is a nightmare, and results in a vehicle that barely fits together. He has no useful tabs. Nothing stays where it should very well, but at the same time, nothing goes flying apart. Like cheetor, there's not anything here that couldn't be done just as well as a deluxe.
On to Bumblebee! He's very cute. More later.

Okay, so Bumblebee is very cute.
He's also a very solid figure, in both modes. Very sturdy, holds his forms well, and very good joints. He's one of, if not the best 'Bee.
Tomorrow: Airazor, Freezor, and Arcee.

Airazor, I fully expected to come here saying "If you have Kingdom Airazor, there's nothing left to say." But actually, no. I don't think as highly of this one. Like Cheetor, beautiful details that are kinda swallowed. Unlike Cheetor, she has a more vivid deco and better plastic colors that bring it out better.
That's about as much positivity as I can muster. It just isn't as good as Kingdom. Beast mode isn't as convincing (which says a lot as Kingdom's wasn't terribly convincing to begin with). I don't know why, it just doesn't hit the same.
Arcee isn't terrible, but she's not spectacular, either. Very interesting transformation for a core. It feels weird though having her so tiny, and Cheetor so huge.

Here's hoping that the mainline deluxe Airazor'll be better...

I don't usually buy Movie toys but that Laserbeak is mad enough that I must have it, but not for the £14 FP wants for it when I saw it.

I walked away from a couple of Core class toys (including the only time I've ever seen SS86 Rumble) at the Minicon because of that very reason.

Got Scourge today.
It has it's flaws, but it's a very interesting mold. Didn't care much for it in pictures, but in hand I like it a lot better. Some very interesting transformation choices. Nice sculpt, and a lot of interesting design choices there.
He's of course based on RiD Scourge, and as such does have some call outs to him (black truck, sword), but my friend realised his left hand may be a nod to Skybyte. Overall though, he vibes heavily as a cross between Dark of the Moon Megatron and The War Within Fallen.
I like him! It's funny, the one I really liked in pictures (Battletrap), I ended up pretty much hating, but the one I was super bored by (scourge), I like more than I should.
