I've said before and will again. Generations exclusive focus on G1 (primarily 84-86) wouldn't bother me so badly if three out of the seven concurrent lines weren't almost exclusively g1 based. And one only pays lipservice to non-g1.
Authentics- exclusively g1
Generations- may as well be exclusively g1
Cyberverse- i think the only non-g1 we get is thanks to the writers fighting for it
Studio Series- movie
Masterpiece- so g1 it hurts. But enough BW and movie that it technically doesn't qualify.
Botbots- innovative
Rescue Bots Academy- does it's own thing.

Ratchet the Autobot drug bus?
It all makes sense now.

Fairly sure the Spences got one at a B&M a while ago. It has an Action Master Grimmy vibe to it.

Oh yeah, they've been in B&M for a while now. And sold surprisingly well, given that they're awful.

With toy shops often shut, Authentics in B&M have been the easiest and most seen Transformers on shop shelves!

And I'm quite fond of the Alpha (deluxe-sized) Optimus Prime. For eight quid he's a decent figure. To my mind, anyway. But aye, I do wish the Titans were just a little better. I was after a version of that Grimlock design that had jaws that actually open, which they do in the Titan! But the rest of it... is terrible.

That looks really nice for an Authentics figure. No pictures of the back, so we can't tell how hollow it is, but if that shows up in B&M for eight quid it'll be worth it.

I see they've managed to get rid of Arcee's massive backpack... aaaand half her legs.
|
|
|
Post by Benn on Jan 23, 2022 18:14:33 GMT
Ah, I like it. Like, if this were a Generations figure, you'd find a way to swing the sides of the legs in for a less obvious 'front of car' look, but for what it is, it's cool.

Post by Llama God on Jan 24, 2022 8:33:30 GMT
Exactly. With a slightly bigger engineering budget this would easily be the best version of G1 Arcee we've had so far. As it is, it's still a pretty good toy, and one I'm hoping won't take too long to appear in B&M. And missing half a leg is a hallmark of the Authentics line, so she's not out of place...

What's missing from her legs?
-Ralph
|
|
|
Post by Llama God on Jan 25, 2022 8:27:31 GMT
Most of the lower leg. Like most of the Authentics figures she only has the front and (some of) the outside side of her lower legs - they're mostly so open that "hollow" is an insufficient description.

It's more of a curved piece of plastic than a moulded one.
