It looks like B&M have pulled stocking the line - mainly due to every branch I've been in no longer stock them - instead they have Ghostbusters in (which look good) & those shelf warming fortnight stuff. Homebargains also seem to have removed most too

Certainly interesting that they're aligning Authentics with Beast Wars in time for Rise of the Beasts. I guess they need to make sure that they're not undercut by any cheap knock-offs when the film comes out. And this one's not bad - looks pretty solid as Authentics go.

I picked up this little guy from Game not long ago. I don't know which line he actually belongs to but the receipt said "auth". Push down his head in either mode to automorph.   |

Well that would've been a Rescue Bots mold originally - the Scraplet has Hot Shot, Whirl and Bumblebee that are very similar, and which were branded as Rescue Bots Academy. But this is not, which is interesting. Presumably they're moving away from the "Rescue Bots" branding like they are with the other "Classic Heroes" line (or whatever it is) that has given us drill tank Megatron and alligator Megatron... |

Some Authentics stuff is actually ok, but these look shite.
Though Grimlock is so wonderfully terrible it might hard to say no to if it was really cheap (it won't be).

Yeah, the previous releases (at the Alpha and Bravo scales, anyway) have msotly been pretty decent pocket money toys. These new ones though... I'm far less enamoured of. That Prime looks terrible. I look forward to these being on the shelves of B&M until 2030...
