So far behind with these repeats. I'm still in 1986!
I watched the 'I Love 96' doc that was on last night. I was surprised at how even the 90s are so socially different to life today. The 1990s (which may or may not be a decade) still feel like last year, but they really aren't.

The 90s are the last proper decade because they have a proper name.

I know totp is starting 1990 this week, but I'm still in summer 1987. John Farnham is Martin Clunes with a mullet.

Tonight's 1984 TOTP repeat features a guest appearance by Nicola Bryant at about 15 mins in as the chart rundown pauses midway

Ooh! Ooh! I will have to check what I have stored and see if any are on I don't have. I don't think I have story ofs back to 76.
Got to be careful though, some of these are shown now in edited versions compared to the first broadcasts.

In addition to Big Hits & Story Of 1984 being on BBC 4 on Friday BBC 2 had a 1984 music night last night including 1984 at the BBC, well worth a watch for two HUGE hits that the Big Hits inexplicably leave out www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001vp42/1984-at-the-bbcDuring this Evelyn Thomas' Hi-NRG comes on and the Fat Man alert automatically goes off in my head. Sure enough he gets a mention in on screen text.

Yes, almost live. I did some checking - they started the tour to promote X-Factor with three dates in Israel 28-30th Sept 1995, but when that TOTP went out on 5th Oct they were in South Africa. Apparently that was recorded for TOTP, but is also on a CD single released 3 years later for another song as a bonus, but obviously in those days in Quicktime format. I must have that in the Maiden box but don't remember seeing it before.
