It was a good find, especially as I lacked the cash to go through to the big comic mart that was on in Glasgow today. I'm always annoyed if I miss one. I'm rarely a big buyer at marts: I just like having a rummage. -Ralph

When Marvel UK bailed out of reprinting Marvel US stuff in the mid 80s how far had they solidly got for each title? Ignore any odd issues in Secret Wars etc....
I know that X-Men had been reprinted too 144 when it stopped 4 issues into Mighty World of Marvel, Defenders to the Gerber annual at the end of his run and Avengers 211 when the reprints ended in the back of Spiderman.....
But how far did Amazing Spiderman get? And Hulk ?
And how much of a gap before Panini took up reprinting? I know X-Men starts from 300 and Avengers from v2#1.....

Spider-Man got up to the reveal of the Hobgoblin as Ned Leeds.
No idea about Hulk.

Yeah, Spider-Man and Zoids kept the Spidey reprints going for long enough.
Obviously there were chunks of stories that were missed out over the years so I don't think it was all ASM issues that were reprinted.

I remember Byrne FF being in Spidey and Zoids. As for Hulk, I last recall seeing him in The Incredible Hulk Presents in 1989 but I think they were several year old strips at that time.

Phil please move to the right thread if this is the wrong one.
I bought about 200 issues of 1970s and a few 80s Marvel UK. Some still have the free gifts on them including Secret Wars 1-3.
Got me some old school reading to do.

Yeah and for a change there are lots of nice consecutive runs of MWOM, Rampage, Super Adventures and Superheroes instead of completely random single issues.

And where did you unearth this treasure trove? The joy of car booting. Only cost me £15. Best comic haul since I got the load of 2000AD with issue 1 in. I haven't been as often this year as usual so this and the Lego Nesquik bunny made for a good haul.

Rampage contains Gerber Defenders, which is class. 32 is the first Marvel comic I ever read and is mad.

A few issues of Whilce Portacio illustrated X-Factor are on their way to Turnbull Towers along with a 1993 Thundercats Collected Comics from Marvel Uk. Andy 1993! That's a late one. Don't often see Thundercats collected comics. I have a look occasionally because I'd like to finish my run of regular issues off. I stopped at #85 when it went monthly so I'm missing 86-129. Need to find them before I get that far on my 30th anniversary re-read! Although I think by then it was all reprints anyway.
