Next in the back issue pile: the eight published issues of the Marvel UK Sf comic CYBERSPACE 3000 by Gary 'Divided Loyalties' Russell. -Ralph I have now read #1. It has a very exciting glow-in-the-dark-cover. -Ralph

Now imagine what it is like to read both volumes back to back. I am a hero. Volume 2 in this context made me start drinking. Volume 1 I had a ginger beer and a hot chocolate. -Ralph Alas, some of the volume 1 issues are damp damaged/mouldy so will be recycled soon. Had I bought from a comic place I would have been annoyed but, eh, was bought for charity. -Ralph

Here we go, from #5... "There was a school of thought a few centuries back...that the universe was a creation of pure mathematics. The creation of artificial intelligence of Sol is the by-product of that. It was called the Bidmeadian Theory. Block transfer computations - literally creating a solid object through pure mathematics." ...which is how a character survives! Bidmead is technically part of the Marvel Universe! Actually the premise and ideas in Cyberspace 3000 are quite interesting and with some retooling it could have made for a very good 2000AD-esque type story. There are glimmers here and there but alas buried under standard 90's comic-ness. A shame. It's very obscure and there is little info on the web other than this page: www.marvunapp.com/Appendix3/soliiiearth691.htm-Ralph

It is a fine wee shop I have often passed in Brum but it was always shut! But it has many many comics inside. There were three boxes of DWM alone, going back to 1988!
And a few boxes of good condition DW Target, BBC and NA books. Alas, I did not notice it until I had blown my load on comics.

Was at a Glasgow comic mart yesterday. Decent spread, though went mainly to look due to limited funds. However, one shiny pound procured the Easter 1999 Battle Tide Special. Yes, the story is poo but it's nice to see the lovely Geoff Senior artwork at a larger size. Cover has seen better days, alas, being rather tatty but the interiors are fine and I have never seen the Special version in any previous mart so it had to be pounced upon!

A lot of 4 issues of Death's Head's ongoing - the first four issues was secured. These have been defaced by creator signatures, but through sheer coincidence the person they signed them too was called Andy.
Wooo!
