Still not seen rainmakers and i kinda hope it stays that way for my own sake.
But saw a mess of micro sets monday. (Doesn't guarentee they're still there nearly a week on, though) but i can start snagging sets for people.

I never thought or realized this, but there's evidence to support this:
All uses of the Moonracer mold post Chromia have new hands/forearms.
Without FP in the equation, they may have decided they were done with that mold when they were designing Chromia and openly cannibalized the hands irreparably for future uses of it. And when fans wouldn't stop about how the Elita combiner isn't "complete" (like Starscream and Cyclonus, it wasn't intended to be a complete combiner)
Otherwise, changing the hands/arms is the single most pointless change to make.

It's a good theory, but there's nothing that I can see that stops the Chromia hands being used on Moonracer, the connection to the wrist is the same. I'll try swapping them. EDIT: that went badly. The changes to the hand are more than the holes: the tab into the wrist and the retaining pegs are much larger on Chromia and won't fit Moonracer. Chromia's wrist also split when I tried to slide the hand out :-( |
