Scattershot is the strongest (8), Strafe the weakest (5). Computron has strength 9.
Lightspeed has the most intelligence (8), the others 6 or 7, but somehow when they combine they get intelligence 10 out of Computron.
Scattershot is the fastest (7), Nosecone the slowest (3). Despite his name, Lightspeed the jet car has speed 5. I guess that must just be relative to his fellow Technobots who turn into rockets or motorbikes. Computron has speed 2.
Nosecone has endurance 9, Scattershot and Computron 8, the others 6 or 7.
Scattershot has rank 8. Lightspeed, the cleverest, is second-in-command with rank 6, the others 5. Computron has rank 7.
The individuals all have courage 8 or 9. Computron has courage 10.
Scattershot has firepower 8. All the others, including Computron (who presumably can't access Scattershot's main weapon) have firepower 7.
Strafe has skill 4, Scattershot 6, Lightspeed 8, Computron 9 (the others 7).

Going for Strafe based purely on that photo. I have a fondness for spaceships with two pointy bits at the front.
I think I have Lightspeed in the box I inherited from my younger brother and it's a bit duff to be honest.

Afterburner, no hesitation, beautiful vehicle mode.
One of the great shames of the CW / UW versions of him is that he's a fairly unimaginitive Groove retool and misses what make the original so interesting.

I love the Technobots. They've always been /my/ combiner team in the way others love the Aerialbots or Constructicons. Its also the first time I ever owned one of the torso-bots and was able to put together an actual combiner (I vividly remember on Christmas day running up to my room and scavenging together whatever limb-bots I could find).
I also generally love Scattershot in both modes. The spring loaded cannon in the nosecone and great details like the guns on his hands, or the extra ones you could clip into the combiner ports. Great play value, and so an easy win for me, but I love them all. When I first got back into collecting, one of the first things I did on ebay was pickup Afterburner and Strafe so I had a properly completed Computron.

At least Nosecone makes sense as a practical drill tank, unlike Twin Twist.
I've gone with Strafe, based on the photo of his vehicle mode, but I can be swayed - the week is young.
Martin
PS I owned all the Constructicons, Combaticons, Stunticons, Protectobots and Aerialbots. And I owned Nautilator. But I never owned a Technobot or a Terrorcon.

The Technobots got a rough deal in the comics. The first four Special Teams got the big UK intro via Buster Witwicky's dreams, and then the Aerialbots got a US issue for their intro, then so did the Stunticons, and then the Protectobots and Combaticons shared the limelight in 'Afterdeath' and 'Used Autobots' and 'Spacehikers', and then the Aerialbots and Stunticons were in loads of Earthforce stories, and all four of those teams got UK Classic re-releases.
The Technobots, Terrorcons and Seacons... didn't. They got very brief intros in the Headmasters comic and Underbase saga respectively, and then got wiped out by Starscream and were never seen again in the US comic.
The Technobots' most memorable appearance was in the UK annual story 'Peace', in which Scattershot re-starts the war by gunning down Roadbuster, cementing them in my mind as bad guys, whereas the Aerialbots and Protectobots are native to Earth and the defenders of humankind.
Tough break.
Mind you, the tech-specs don't exactly make them sound like the most pleasant people either.

It's funny how as much as the Terrorcons gripped my imagination (as an older child who everyone was having a go at 'cos he still wanted to buy Transformers toys), but the Technobots I had no interest in. Even when a school friend gifted me Straffe as a birthday present, they just did nothing for me. But now, years of acquired wisdom later, yeah, they're a nice looking team.
I've gone Straffe, as I had him ('had' as in owned).

I had Nosecone and the bike one back in the day. The bike one was ok but Nosecone was amazing. He would attack his enemies with his mighty drill!!!
#VoteNosecone.

Nosecone can wear his drill like a silly hat in robot mode. Find me a picture of this and I will factor it into my consideration. Which one? Martin

Harry Secombe!
I no longer have Nosecone but if you flipped his drill bit up in robot mode it looked like he had a silly hat.

All right, now that I imagine Nosecone as a short, fat Welshman with a silly hat, I have changed my vote to him. But it remains early days... anything could happen to my vote between now and next Friday!

The Technobots have already been odd ones, haven't they? As has been pointed out, when combined they're the slow, considered, careful Computron. Yet as individuals, they're all hair-trigger bastards. I guess it really is a case of Computron being greater than the sum of his parts. A shame they didn't really capitalise on that in any of the media. But then, given they were introduced in the year of the Headmasters, I guess that was always going to happen given they had the older and thus less interesting gimmick...
As to which one's best, I dunno. I never had the originals, so I'd just be going off the photos. And as ever, my leanings are towards the leader. Especially with that splitting nosecone thing he has. But... undecided.

Lightspeed and Nosecone were quite pleasant natured and intelligent - it was the other three that were crazed battle loving so and so's. At least in the cartoon they were. Quite a mismatched group.

'Techno' to me means 'technologically advanced' (not so in the case of The Docktor's choice in music). For three of the 'Techno' bots to be overly aggressive unpleasant is... illfitting.
Really am considering switching my vote to Nosecone, one of the more evolved Technobots. Quite liking Lightspeed too, feel sorry for him.
