If we all look the other way for a minute, you could edit it. Then Phil could move it into the Post League thread and we'll all celebrate.

The thing I really don't like about the Technobot toys - and Terracons actually, is that the leader robots are so big that the combined mode has no impact. It's just like the leader figure with little extra bits stuck on. Scattorshot actually folds his legs pretty much in half just to add the team member which makes little difference to his height at all.

We missed the fact that this is Matt's big 1000th post! Bugger. If I'd have known, I'd have made it something more memorable or clever instead of saying I love a good bike mode! We all know what you really mean is you LOVE a good orange truck mode.

At least Nosecone makes sense as a practical drill tank, unlike Twin Twist. Not really, the drill bit isn't big enough to be practical. The ones from the TMNT cartoon the bad guys used to travel from the Technodrome always seemed more feasible to me. I didn't own any Technobots as a kid, and ended up getting them all in one shot as an adult collector. They all have fairly interesting transformations, Afterburner is my favourite of the limbs, but the vote goes to Scattershot. I liked the robot being sideways for the spaceship mode, was different from the many lie on your back/front modes we'd seen before.

I was always concerned all the lava would make a volcano from those Turtles drills

The drill bit needs to be bigger than the rest of the vehicle for it to travel through the hole created by the drill. How does Brawn's drill work in the old cartoon? If physic's allowed that, then there would be hundreds of Black & Decker hand drills lost inside walls all over the world.

I did see Scattershot till a few years after they came out (and didn't own him, lightspeed and Nosecone till I bought a full set in 1995ish) and yeah I was shocked how big he was. Oddly I did get Hun-gurr but it never really occured to me that he was big.

I had no idea that Scattershot was large. Until right then.

He is. Or Abominus isn't that much of a giant. Remember this classic battle?

Scattershot vs Monstructor would be a funny battle, with Scattershot bigger than Monstructor.
Hmmm, the argument that even Nosecone is a nonsensical drill tank because he can't fit through the tunnel he creates (though I'd still argue he makes more sense than Twin Twist) has me wavering in my vote... and yet I can't vote for Afterburner, Scattershot and Strafe as they're nasty pieces of work, while Lightspeed just looks rather boring. Why couldn't the Autobots just let him transform into what he wants to transform into?

OH MY GOODNESS SCATTERSHOT REALLY IS HUGE!!! Are we talking about his fourth 'Rude Mode' here? If not, I'm surprised the topic hasn't arisen (snicker!) in this thread yet...

I thought construction engineers more civilised! I am not a smutty engineer - I am a children's entertainer, actor and pawn shop worker - and that's pawn with a 'aw' not an 'or'. And I thought everyone was fully aware of Scattorshot's rude mode - even the Queen and Captain America.
