Matt: Superb. Thank you Okay so whats your mad theory as to why they chose who they did? Matt's pictures make it obvious: Even more so when you throw Aquafend & Jetstorm in:

Once you see it it's obvious, and then you start spotting the other bits, the wheels and weapons.
The problem is nearly every picture of Drench/Deluge has him obscuring his body with his weapons and with Jetstorm/Aquafend your eyes are drawn to the change between the purple & black. And then you get thinking about G2 Deluge/Speedstream which doesn't have the major clue

I'm sure the red on Gobots is different to the one used on Jetstorm. Will compare the two to check, but I'm sure it's much lighter and orangey and not as pink. Yeah that's much more obvious side to side! Matt, I don't suppose you have both G2 Jetstorm & Aquafend and G2 Deluge & Speedstream and could do us some similar pictures?

I can't see whatever Phil says is obvious. -Ralph They're Gang Moulded. Not sure it's been spotted before, but it is the usual reason sets of Transformers stay together (Cyberjets, Spychangers) For the Aquaspeeders/G2 Color Changers: On the Euro versions 3 of them have clear blue/green bodies and legs. On the US G2 versions this changes to Energon blue for all three. On the Euro versions all 4 have grey wheels. On the US G2 versions this changes to black. I also think there's a blue frame, for robot parts, and a yellow, for the weapons, which is the same over all four toys and unchanged between the releases. For the Stormtroopers we can be less sure thanks to their only being one set of releases but it would seem likely that the clear orange used for the bodies, they grey for the guns and black for the wheels is the same. There's also some purple/burgundy blues & greens cropping up on multiple toys. Oddly the windows don't look ganged - they're different colours on the G2 Color Changers probably because they're not just the windows but a large portion of the car's body work.

Week 156: What is the best Autobot Color Changer in 1993? It's interesting comparing this page with the other 1993 Euro imports: All three sets of toys are unfinished, lacking their head paint. Odd one that. Skyscorchers Plastic is unchanged anyway, same toys in Europe and the US. Color Changers have had the colour on their plastic changed but the Axelerators still have their Euro pink windscreens

Jetstorm for me - he's got better colours, and I like his work ethic.

Yep Jetstorm is definitely the best of the whole bunch of color changers. Not only is his colour scheme the most different from the Euro version (making him feel more like a new toy) but his colours are just good anyway.
