But this also means all red or blue Transformers are in fact OPTIMUS PRIME!
What a twist!

Don't be absurd. All red Transformers are Perceptor. We've covered this already.

Yellow, Red & Blue together are the three colours used for the Microchange versions of Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and Bumper But, as laid out above, these two are very definitely Hot Rod & Dai Atlas homages

Oh good god. Why does TFwiki have a Micron called Saber indexed on a page called Barnstorm. Why is Tf-wiki such an absolute organisational nightmare? Gah! Karl

Cos Barnstorm is it's Western Name. Admittedly a dubious one created by the Transformers Collectors' Club
I'd have all those Japanese Minicons under their Japanese names as those were the only names the toys were sold under

Cos Barnstorm is it's Western Name. Admittedly a dubious one created by the Transformers Collectors' Club That's... a terrible way to organise reference material. Logically Barnstorm should be on Barnstorms page, with a reference to Sabers page in the section which identifies that Barnstorm is identical to the Japanese character Saber. And Saber's page should indicate that this toy was used as the basis for the character Barnstorm in American transformers fiction (with a link to Barnstorms page) which was not released as a toy. It pains me that Rangerwiki, despite being hosted on <bleep> Fandom.com is so much better at this than TFWiki, it really does. Karl

I'd have all those Japanese Minicons under their Japanese names as those were the only names the toys were sold under I'd have the toy on a page under its correct name, and the Fun Publications character that homages it should be on its own page, or should be the one that is a footnote - given that it is the one that is homaging the toy and not the other way around.... MOST of the normal retail Micron Legend Minicon teams are identical to their Western counterparts. There are two exceptions, and both of these are from Wave 6 (released 8th August 2003) MM-15 Sea Micron team swaps the Sea Team's purple for yellow. This colouration is generally ascribed to being cartoon accurate but it's on the Armada packaging which IIRC was out pre broadcast of the cartoon episodes with this team. I wonder if the yellow was the originally planned western colour and, ala Tidal Wave & PL Thrust, changed very late in the day? MM-15 Sea Micron | | | | | | | Sea Team (MM-15 Sea Micron)
MM-17 Air Assault Micron team takes the grey of the western Air Assault team and swaps it for a clear colour, reminiscent of the original Air Defence team, but with a slight purple tinge. MM-17 Air Assault Micron | | | | | | | Air Assault Mini-Con team | | | | | | | Air Defense Team (MM-02 Air Defense Micron)
The Air Assault team is the only western repaint team to have a version in the Japanese Micron Legend line. The Night Attack and Road Assault teams did appear in Japan but only as individual promotional Minicons.

I was, in fact, quoting an important cultural work, and I'm disappointed that it wasn't recognised. It's like 1984 in here...

Tough one this. Both loads better than their western versions.
Have owned both, would happily buy both again at the right price.
The pictures don't really capture the tint to the clear plastic on the jets.
