Probably ought to give some chronology for the period of reissues we're talking about here. We've already had Classics in Europe and Japanese reissues of Dinobots, Aerialbots and Trainbots. We believe both of these have links to the Chinese run of Transformers in the late 80s/early 90s as do the moulds reued in G2. The modern round of reissues starts in 2000 with a straight reissue of 1 Convoy <SNIP> After that it gets quiet until the Wal*Mart rereleases start Nice round up. Though some of the Platinums probably deserve a mention prior to the Walmart reissues.

No contest, NY Prime.
In reality it really should be. That Megatron set is incredibly impressive, but no Action Master, no contest.

Still mildy regret not grabbing the Prime reissue (25th Annivasary?) with the movie DVD from The Entertainer.

Same. It had a pinkish tinge to the paint on the diecast chest which now makes it an interesting variant.
Although the 25th anniversary release I am thinking of came with a comic and voicebox rather than dvd.

Was it the new adaptation of the movie?

No, it was a reprint of Marvel US#1.
