Finishes tomorrow.
Bludgeon's doing better than expected even if Scourge is winning like I suspected he would.
This coming week we venture into Multipacks as we vote on more toys that Phil has never seen these versions of in person.
I am also anticipating a few objections this week

RiD Dinobot Grimlock is a repaint of BW Dinobot Dinobot also has a Japanese varaiant, which is a little easier to spot than Cheetor's. His FK, BWX & Telemocha versions are all rather different and all fab! He has different character repaints as both Beast Wars and RiD Dinobots Grimlock and retools as BWII Cyberbeast Thrustor & BW Neo Hardhead who in turn is repainted in Beast Machines Dinobots as Dinotron (amusingly in the original Hardhead's colours!) RiD Dinobot Terranotron (Swoop) is a repaint of BW Terrorsaur Terrorsaur is the motherload of BW Basic repaints being reused as Lazorbeak, BW Neo Hydra - they are different - Botcon Fractyl, RiD Dinobots Terranotron (briefly released as Swoop), the AOE Walmart Strafe (my BW Swoop), and an unreleased Transcon version as an actual BW Swoop RiD Dinobot Snarl is a repaint of BW Neo Sabreback Saberback is repainted as Beast Machines Dinobot Striker, RiD Dinobot Snarl and Universe Striker RiD Dinobot Sludge is a repaint of BW Neo Sling RiD Dinobot Triceradon is a repaint of BW Neo Guiledart Guiledart is repainted as Beast Machines Dinobot Triceradon, RiD Dinobot Triceradon, Universe Triceradon and AOE Walmart 2 pack Slug. The later shares it's colours with Guiledart's remould, Killer Punch, which is unreleased in the west. RiD Dinobot Slapper is a repaint of BW Neo Bazooka

For *MANY* years there was confusion as to which line & continuity these toys were from, stemming from them using the Armada packaging, like all the other RiD exclusives, and not having a parent series name on them, like the Beast Machines Dinobots don't either. It has been clarified that these are RiD, not Armada. I do not own these. I don't think I've ever seen them. I tried to buy them back in the day but could I find any way of getting them shipped to me? NO! Names... The names here imply an intentional homage/remake of the G1 Dinobots. Examples of the Grimlock/Terranotron pack exist labelled as Grimlock/Swoop further strengthening that implication. I suspect Hasbro US was having trademark issues with the Swoop name which were discovered late in the day. Likewise Triceradon looks like either a trademark issue or Hasbro had become aware of the connotations of the name Slag. Given that he's packed with Slapper however I suspect that was unlikely and I mourn the lack of a Slag/Slapper 2 pack.

Scourge wins Bludgeon got a lot of votes in the last 24 hours. Given the forum's known love of Scourge I am suspecting there were some shenanigans.....

Really couldn't decide as these are all pretty dull to me - but definitely not to kids. So I'll honour the child in me and go with the Slag and Slapper twosome.

I don't think they're that dull, I'm an absolute sucker for the BW/Neo Dinosaur moulds, but I can kind of see where you're coming from. The three deluxe & Swoop have all been out multiple times so there's a bit of yeah yeah yeah, these again. OTOH these are pure unobtainium and the only repaints & western outings for Sludge & Slapper

They are very rare, or at least are in the UK, and I don't think they were easy to get in the US
I know of one person, who may or may not be on the forum, who owned one of these.
I'm not sure if Nick or AndyK has them but I suspect both are a bit busy right now.
As I said for many years they were attributed to Armada, cos of the packaging. But no Armada Logo, no Minicon, all the other RiD 2003 Exclusives using Armada packaging and No Armada branded exclusives all say otherwise, which has since been clarified.
Obviously playing on the success of the BM Dinobots here.

I've thought of a second person who might have them: @ Toph, do you have these? Do you remember how easy they were to find at the time?

I have the Grimlock/Terranotron set, because the Terrorsaur mould is one of my favourite toys so I tried to be completist with it [although I'm not expecting to find an affordable Fractyl any time soon]. Got it off Ebay US about 3 years ago.

Gotta be the Snarl and Sludge, two great looking toys. I also fancy the Triceradon and Slapper pack as well, but am completely uninterested in the Grimlock one.

Yeah, not sure why but none of these look particularly exciting to me, also. I know there's clearly an attempt here to homage the original Dinobot colours, but given that they're also trying (though not very hard) to make these "realistic" animals it all ends up a bit muted. I think though I'll go for Triceradon and Slapper, just because there's something slightly more appealing about their bulbousness...

Finishes tomorrow when we'll move onto boxed items, with one set the UK got and two we didn't.
It's also another Battle of the Decades mould wise

Dreadwind and Smokejumper, and once again this poll is making me regret selling something…
The urban camo look on Ruination never did much for me. I get why people like the consistent yellow deco on the landfill set, but I prefer the more colorful originals.

Unified colours schemes on combiners is boring, you can't even tell the super-robot is made up of lots of little dudes!
By default then, I suspect my vote goes to Dreadwind and Smokejumper, because they, at least, don't combine into one big boring robot.

Ruination - I like the purple shoes.
(Dunno if you can edit polls once open Phil, but it says Bruticus instead of Ruination)

It's a good one for a Bank Holiday Weekend :-)
The ATB is a nice colour set - all the ATBs look nice - but I struggle seeing a stealth jet that isn't black. My original was bought from the Oxford TRU on a trip to see Liz and sold some years back but I rebought the toy a year or so back after being tempted on the call. IIRC I'd been aiming to give it to Rich but he bought one in between me buying it and it arriving!
The other two didn't get UK distribution :-(
Landfill is a good appropriate colour scheme for what's in the box and from a real world Point Of View probably the first that comes to mind. But for us as Transformer fans in 2003 I'm afraid I looked at it and thought "where is my Green Landfill as Devastator??" That would eventually, after some pain, follow in Universe.
And Ruination looks FABULOUS, love the unified colour scheme and I'm pleased it's no longer being termed as an Artic camo, which would be right, and now is known as Urban Camo. I've been after one for 20 years! My only problem is the feet, why aren't they black like the hands? Only Special Team combiner with different coloured hands & feet!
RUINATION gets my vote
