It's not the wrong colours for *that* Jhiaxus. -Ralph True. I guess I've not read much media with this Jhiaxus in.

Usually I'd vote for the Jetstorm Drone recolour, as its good to have as many of those as possible but I've always disliked the way it bought about orange jet repaints that are supposed to be someone they bear no resemblance to. Jhiaxus is hardly alone in looking odd, those colours on Megabolt are "an interesting choice".

Megabolt is one of the lesser know GPS sufferers, but does look very good.

Megabolt for me, but either of those toys would be pleasing to own. I'd quite like one of each of the Jetstorm mold, I think they'd display beautifully together.

That's not the trooper Phil, that's Rook. What a Rook-y mistake... Anyway, much as my dislike of the Jetstorm mold is well documented, and those colours don't exactly scream "Jhiaxus", I'm going to have to go with Jhiaxus anyway because, much as I love that Megabolt mold, those colours do nothing for me at all.

Hmm. Not owned either of these (in the case of Jhiaxus, I think he is the only released deco of this mold that I haven't owned at some point). But I have to say that the safety orange and white of Jhiaxus, whilst not being that similar to the Marvel Comics character known as Jhiaxus (which doesn't really matter,as this isn't supposed to be that character - it is supposed to be the Robots In Disguise character Jhiaxus, who is a different individual) is the nicer of these two schemes by a long way.
So the Decepticon Air and Space Commander takes my vote.

Finishes TOMORROW!
Currently 6 all and I haven't voted yet
This coming week.... Two of my all time favourite moulds are back for another go, hopefully with less arguing than last time when they caused one of the biggest disagreements in this thread. This time I suspect one of them will stroll home cos the character in question usually wins!
And oddly there's a link to a topic of conversation from Yesterday!

Difficult one, this - mostly because I'd remembered seeing these molds in the shops during the G2 days when I was "too old to buy Transformers", so seeing them back again for a second chance gave a certain thrill. But at the same time, the colours and characters were wrong, and despite being differently-named characters in my head they were too tied up to the molds' original uses (yes, I'm too invested in Sureshot), which is why I ultimately never picked up either. But if I had to... it's a tough choice, actually. Bludgeon is nice and vibrant, but there is, as always, something about that black and teal combo on Onsl- sorry, Scourge...

Scourge: Colours are dead on, Perfect The "all one colour" hides some of the mould's sins, notably the legs and cab not being the right colours, that afflicted the G2 version Bludgeon: I would like to acknowledge learned friends repeated advisements that the RiD versions are not the G1 version HOWEVER the name makes me strongly think of the G1 Pretender I can see that's what they're getting at but the colours could be closer, with the yellow swapped for orange and some purple/burgundy in the mix. In fact both Bludgeon & last week's Jhiaxus would be improved for swapping their yellow and orange: I mentioned putting some Burgundy/Purple into the mix for Bludgeon and one of the main places that could benefit would be the head. But the head would only be mildly improved with paint because the overall look of it SCREAMS G1 Megatron. And that highlights one of the other problems I have with this toy: they've introduced a new colour scheme when they could have given us it in Megatron's G2 Green or G1 Grey/Silver Of course Bludgeon could also do with a sword. But since the same problem affects both the original Bludgeon and Destructicon Scourge I think we can let it pass....

I mentioned how there's two colours I'd like to have seen on the Megatron mould and how Scourge's one colour deco helps that mould. Well there's another one colour version of Op I'd have liked to have seen done and that's Cab Ultra Magnus. Recently I had to make an image negative so while I was there I fed the software the Scourge picture and this is what I got: Obviously the faction symbol isn't right and I'd want to loose te red/swap it for blue but that doesn't look too bad! I'd have bought that

I'm going to give Bludgeon his first vote here.
I've never handled any iteration of either of these moulds, so can't speak to how they are as toys, but I _really_ like Bludgeon's colour scheme. White stripes on yellow is a bit different and looks good and I like the shade of green and how the Decepticon logo looks against it.
Last year I hesitated a bit too long about picking a sealed one up at a really reasonable price and someone beat me to it, and it's now one of my main recent regrets in collecting.

Is anyone able to photoshop me Bludgeon with all the grey (not the silver of the face!!!!) swapped for Burgundy/purple?
I may need a couple more tweaks after seeing that ....

I remember these looking good but feeling cheap in hand (especially Bludgeon).
Ok, I have to bite. How were Scourge's feet the wrong colour on another toy?

I remember these looking good but feeling cheap in hand (especially Bludgeon). Always felt OK to me though the Bludgeon hoses are not as durable a the others. Ok, I have to bite. How were Scourge's feet the wrong colour on another toy? -Ralph Lower legs. Traditionally Prime lower legs are blue and his cab/upper body is red: This Prime has a bit of different transformation to previous one with the cab becoming the legs. Cab and legs thus need to be the same colour. So they either need to * make the vehicle cab blue to give the robot blue legs OR * make the robot legs red to give the vehicle a red cab Instead of compromising they elect to give Hero Prime a new colour for his cab and legs. Magnus' Cab and Scourge are both monochrome, the cab and legs are the same colour removing the problem.

I have both of these and I think they're great toys, lots of play value, i can see why they've used these time and time again. I think Bludgatron is a bit better in the end. Great colourscheme, original character, and it all fits together so well.
