I can't even imagine what that would be like.

I think I would like flip out pants. Pins? You know when you sent me Siege Skywarp and I said I'd never call you 'slut' again?

These are the Autobot "Mega" boxed toys for 1993.
However when they, and their Decepticon opposition the Trakkons (Next Week), appear in the Euro G2 line they're carded!

DEFTWING (Tactician)
"Every mission must destroy its evil target. And it's my task to make sure it does."
Astute and resourceful. Devises inspired defence plans while hovering menacingly above the battle scene. Ready for instant action with vertical take-off. Visible tracer capability means targeting is super-accurate. As a plane, rotating action missile launcher gives enormous fighting power. As a robot this converts to freestanding weapon backup.
Strength 9 Intelligence 10 Speed 9 Endurance 7 Rank 10 Courage 8 Firepower 9 Skill 10
IRONFIST (Weaponry Expert)
"A brilliantly designed piece of firepower is a work of art to me."
A most distinguished weaponry mastermind. Strong, silent, and likes his action fast and furious. Easily eats up every type of ground, no matter how rough. As a vehicle, attacks with recoil-action, visible tracer missile launcher. In robot form this provides cover as a free-standing launcher weapon.

Iron fist. Nice chunky, detailed toy and his weapon is the best. Suffers from high bonnet chest vision obstruction syndrome though, like Rapido and Pretender Jazz.
Deftwing is a bit playskool and his gun looks like a set of toy binoculars but he does have a wonderfully unique transformation scheme that more than makes up for his shortcomings.

There's something Payskool about all four of these - the Trakkons and the Lightformers. It's almost as if they looked at Stalker, thought "That was cool, what similar thing can we do?" and turned up this idea where half the toy is Transformer and half the toy is a module for the gimmick.
The weapons can't be held, all look silly in their stand alone mode and are a ****er to find complete and/or with their toy!
Ironfist by a country mile, looks sensible without the weapon, nearly looks sensible with the weapon and is unfortunately £££ since the Rocher/Roberts effect took hold.
*REALLY* surprised not to see Ironfist redone from Siege Hound. Swap the robot heads, boom. Money left on the table.

While not the most G2 of Transformers, Ironfist is the most 90s of them.
He even looks like he has pouches.

A VERY sensible Siege Selects repaint. I'm struggling to fully populate next year's Selects line so maybe, especially in the light of the Rotorstorm repaint of Spinister, they'll do that this year. Ironfist - and indeed none of the Trakkons/Lightformers - has never been repainted. A green repaint as Hound would have been easy money and easy to work because the beige on his body doesn't crop up on any of the other three. I believe the four are gang moulded, though it's hard to see on just these two. EDIT - that Deftwing picture is a bit dark! Throw the other two in though and it gets a bit more obvious, especially between Deftwing & Fearswoop, and then you start spotting those colours on Ironfist and Calcar

Despite his new(well not that new now, actually)found popularity, I'll not be voting for Ironfist simply because he doesn't turn into a plane, and plane toys are always better. Even in this case, where they both look... pretty questionable, really.

It's quite possible though I dont think Ive seen any confirmed gang moulding across more than two toys or that involve more than two colours. I've always assumed it was simply a choice to go with sub groups getting shared secondary colours. Ironfist and Deftwing are very much in line with the Turbomasters and Pyros shared colours. And Fearswoop and Calcar match up with the Predators and (I think) Clench) Its very possible that all those sub groups were gang moulded to some extent, but again I dont think Ive seen it suggested before.

I'm not sure anyone has ever seriously suggested it before. But look how the green pops up on more than one toy on more than one faction. Generations makes it clearer the yellows and blues are the same

Gobots/Spychangers, both G2 released and the G2 Unreleased/RiD Partially released sets. Put them in the right order and it becomes obvious tmukhub.proboards.com/post/288202/threadtmukhub.proboards.com/post/374427/threadCyberjets: there's a sprue with the robots upper limbs, another with their missile launchers, Hooligan's wings & Space Case's hinge/neck, a third with the clear plastic, a fourth with the missiles and a fifth with the landing gear. This one becomes obvious when you look at the Universe versions Grouped By Series: Grouped By Mould:
