Don't think I'll be able to get away with not pre-ordering Jazz and Hot Rod...

Runabout gone already at both. Less than an hour, apparently. And no UK stock for Thrust. ******* sick of this.

I gave up on ID pretty quickly. Star has seen me through my Runabout need, but I'm just glad I was able to be on a PC at the time.

I reached my limit on tolerance for so much of Transformers now being exclusives that sell out in minutes or aren't available in the UK a few months ago and stopped paying attention! I feel more relaxed for it. Suddenly, I enjoyed the hobby more. -Ralph

Indeed. I don't know how 'collect them all' fans can relax and have fun at all at the moment.
I was looking forward to buying Runamuk when he is released, but mainly due to having his brother at some point to go alongside him. This has stopped me buying either now, but no big deal. (I have the originals anyway).

Here's the real issue, you are actively training your audience to know they can't expect to get your product, so they stop looking for the product and lose interest. It's absolutely idiotic strategy.

Not impressed with ID at the moment, who were until recently my fave of the sellers. Not only do they put up preorders at a time when people who work normal hours can't be on the site, but all of the recent TF orders I've had from them have been sent without any internal packaging. The Rampmaster set turned up this morning in a jiffy bag - all backing cards creased to buggery. The only one of about six orders sent in the last few weeks that had packing paper was Legends Mysterio because I can see they'd all get sent straight back if the cardbacks were creased.

It's not been a good showing from ID or Kapow of late, appreciate things are not as they would normally be, but yeah, my Pit of Judgement box was dinged as there was no internal packing.

Thing is, there's no point mentioning this to them as valid customer feedback because you know full well at the moment you stand every chance of them telling you to do one and cancelling your other preorders.

Yeah, Soundbarrier came in a folded Jiffy. Cardback is fine, fortunately.
I think my next expected delivery should be with Star, so lets see hw they do...

It's why I stopped buying MOTU Classics when they were a thing as it became too difficult to buy the products. I lost interest completely. I wasn't even aware that range had ended until recently. TF is going the same way. -Ralph

I was not impressed what with it bring a premium product where the packaging is part of what customers are paying for. I have paused toy buying until next year for unrelated reasons but when I am in the market again I'll be using Star. They package things well. -Ralph

Never used them to be honest. I just saw on Twitter that he was available, so... I guess between them and Amazon you have to take a lot on hope.

That's an interesting point that I'd totally not noticed. Prior to... well, this year, really... I'd been impressed with ID's packaging - some padding, but not too much that there was loads of wasted space in the shipping box, a al Amazon. But yeah, now I think about it, Scorponok and the Quint Pit both had no padding. Which I can kinda understand given the size of the boxes, but it's not ideal for packaging that's meant to be displayed...

His posts have actually given a valuable insight into just how well things are going, and it's helped me understand a lot. Definitely a better approach than Kapow's 1984-esque "this is all fine" attitude... (And yes, I know Kapow have just launched a Facebook group for product updates, but... they should've been doing that already.)

I've been moving more orders to Star as well.
The thing that frustrated me with the Quint pit not being padded was that if there was damage then it is not replaceable

yeah 1-2 items ive had from ID have been damaged and they are like "we can refund it but nothing else" star seem to have seen a gap in the market in that they provide customer service....

I haven't ordered a lot from ID Toys, but they've always been a bit rubbish in that regard in my experience - I think every order I've made with them has come with damaged packaging, the most recent being Thundercracker and Skywarp in a box so badly mangled I was half expecting the toys to be damaged.
Star have always been really great from the point of view, and the service as mentioned. I hope they have got properly back on track with shipping though - I got the shipping notice today for some items that were in stock more than a month ago, two of which were supposed to be for my daughter's birthday last week :(
