"To sort some ongoing problems in the back end of the site the website will be offline to fix them. Huge apologies for any inconvenience. It will be back online as fast as we can but with troubleshooting etc we just don’t know how long that will be. The ID Toys team are at LFCC so hopefully we will see some of you there"

I hope when it comes back online I csn see my orders!

Yep, I mailed them on Thursday, and got a reply back the same day. (Would have said yesterday, but I was busy panicking after my alarm failed to wake me up.) They confirmed that I had my pre-orders, and my SDCC Botbots did indeed arrive yesterday. So that's something.

'Just to let you know the site is still in maintenance state as we want to iron out all the bugs. Without going into too many details, we were moved to a server a few weeks ago, unknown to us (I literally woke up to it). The person who was responsible is obviously now not hosting our site, but the problems this caused are still obvious and we need to fix it however long this takes. We will update you as things progress. We will continue to dispatch orders once back at the shop on Monday so don't worry about delays.

LFCC has been an incredible weekend, and still one more day to go!

FAQ:-
Q: I have ordered various items in one order. Will my order only ship when fully complete?
A: YES! An ongoing issue is customers mixing orders of multiple waves which have months between them and then chasing up why items have not shipped. We strongly advise ordering in as small "lots" as possible although appreciate customers want to save on shipping. We do our best to hold stock on these pre-order items, but we cannot guarantee availability when the order is finally completed.

Q: How do I pay the balance of a pre-order / When can I pay the balance of a pre-order?
A: We will email you a link to pay balances when they are due to arrive within a week (sometimes longer on higher priced items). These can only be paid once we have emailed you.

Q: Is my pre-order for import stock?
A:- No, all pre-orders we offer are for UK stock, if we are confident some import stock will arrive before UK stock we will clearly title listings "IMPORT STOCK" and "UK RELEAE STOCK". Sometimes we import stock for Comic Cons which are not offered online.

Q: {other retailer} has this item in stock I have on pre-order. Why do you not have it yet?
A: Although Hasbro UKs plan is for unity with stock arriving with UK retailers and inline with the rest of the world, it is not always the case. Sometime we get items a few days early, sometimes we get items a few days later. Often another retailer (Similar to how we do) may import items and have stock earlier.

Q: Do you buy toy collections?
A: Yes, but mainly Star Wars, Transformers and Hot Toys. Please have a price in mind before contacting us.

i know Kapow has a tickbox that when you pay you agree this may happen and by ID having that disclaimer that would suggest to me sadly they have covered their own backs as shitty as it is

its clearly to stop people ordering 6-7 things but only paying one batch of postage

I've never had to tick a box when making pre-orders on a site so I wonder if that is a new thing. I only know about this ID disclaimer from FB!

However, I've only had good service when using ID so hopefully this is not an issue. I only knew of their policy when seeing their post after ordering 3 pre-orders items in one go and becoming concerned.

I suspect it is just to cover themselves in case their suppliers don't get the stock they think they will.

I think it's more to do with the fact that ID and Kapow get asked a lot to do order stacking like BBTS's pile of loot but they don't have warehouse space to cope. People try to do that by ordering a load of stuff with the expectation of paying one postage hit. By saying 'you can try that, but you're chancing whether we still have all the stuff in stock when your last pre-ordered item comes in' they're just saying they don't do loot piles and if you're aware things are coming out at different times you should be paying for postage individually.

I think of recent it's got a bit more troublesome when things you'd expect to arrive together (Springer & Thundercracker and Brunt, Reflector & Red Alert) haven't. See comments in the Kapow thread!

I don't keep track of all the release dates so if I see a product on a site which I can purchase a pre-order of and no warnings come up to interrupt the ordering process then as a customer I expect what I have paid for to arrive when it comes out.

If a warning comes up on screen then I would decide whether to proceed.

I'd keep an eye on the dates when ordering so you don't order stuff due too far apart at the same time.

There again these days, thank you Hasbro UK, things that should turn up together don't!

So does anyone know when Zetar and wave 4 Impactor are out then? I ordered them same time as Bluestreak. They all just had a 'pre-order' banner beside them at the time. I presume the 3 will be sent when the last one comes out.
