Went into town to get a present for someone. Top strap sheared off my leg brace!
Need to see if I can still walk in old braces and make arrangements to get this one fixed....

Had a massive fall in living room, while carrying my tea. Left ankle just went. I did very well and generally kept the mug upright but some of it hit the laptop and now the KB isn't working. Was in a pile on the floor for quite a while. Up now but almost immediately caught the toes on my left foot which suggests something isn't right. Back is hurting and achy in general, above what I had been.

Sounds like a bad one, Big Phil, how are you doing today?

It was
Slept fine. Still achy and wobbly after fall. Do not recover as quick as I used to when I could roll over at the bottom of a staircase and walk on.
Cold has upped it's game overnight, real fluey acheness this morning which is typical CMT + Cold for me.

Pulled something in my left hip while in bed. In some discomfort now, prayer appreciated.
Long time readers may recall my left hip is the one damaged in a fall at University in 94. Bar a bit of weather ache it's not been too bad in recent years and was way down the priority list.
Lying on my right side, leg bent, lifted the knee up, hip screamed. Been doing a similar movement as an exercise on physio's orders for the last 15 months, so a bit did it should go wrong now!

Porch raised, path widened, new front door with no lower lip, chimney breast coming out, doors to living room doubled with the hall radiator and living room sockets shifted accordingly.
All to get a wheelchair in front door ad into living room.

Building work has hit an issue. Basically there's an unexpected steel beam running across the house from #1's side to #3's. Undetectable before the ceiling came down. It's sitting on the chimney breast we'd like to remove. Apparently the utility stuff is interesting too!

Slight ache round the chest last night and this morning which worried me, especially combined with the cold I've been carrying for a while.
Then I recalled someone tried to catch me and hold me up from behind in Sainsburys when I fell yesterday! I could see how that might have stretched the muscles there somewhat.
With carrying a neuro muscular condition it's a little difficult to be precisely sure what's hurting where sometimes!

Chest pain? Sure it's muscular?
(Heh, my auto-correct tried to turn 'chest' into 'chess'!)
MAKE SURE IT'S JUST MUSCULAR!

I called a physio friend tonight who knows the disability and how it affects me, described the fall I had to her and the symptoms. She said what I'm experiencing is textbook for what happened. Small chance could be a chest infection, but MUCH more likely to be muscular given me and the fall.
The Ache is right the way across the chest, level with my armpits, and is constant but low level.

Not a good day on the neuro muscular front General rain ache, but also got pains like stakes through each shoulders. Been wobbly and spasmy all day, also having some speech problems and a slightly more painful than usual version of the "stroke face" where the muscles go slack in the face.
Tired and could do with sleep.

Whacked again this morning, signs the face isn't happy again too. May have to have an in day
I can't tell if it's a reaction to weather yesterday and today - a bit grey again this morning, having overdone it or if I've copped something and this is my body fighting it.

Tomorrow is potentially looking a big day on the disability front.
The Kaptain is coming to visit and we've arranged to meet him at the station and go for lunch at the Biplob.
Liz is away so I have no car.
So we're going to take the chair on the bus (second bus trip, first time with Jonathan) and then take the chair into the restaurant, something I've not done before

The chair has had it's second trip on a bus and the first to the Biplob. We were a team member down on the intended lineup but ran the mission anyway
