I'd never really seen Cog as Battletrap & Flywheel's Oppo before but now I say it, it's obvious he's the Duobot to their Duocons. No, Phil. No.

Not in the slightest! This may be the greatest Mad Phil theory yet!
Battletrap and Flywheel integrate by one attaching to the other via a springloaded gimmick. Cog does not do this.
Overlord (both versions) is two vehicles that combine to form a robot. Is it a Duocon? No. No it is not!!!
I now declare that Huffer and Blot are similar! They both have screws holding them together! The similarity is obvious!

So the springloaded bit is more important than the two vehicles combining to form a robot bit? DUO con. DUO meaning TWO Overlord (both versions) is two vehicles that combine to form a robot. Is it a Duocon? No. No it is not!!! I have seen many who will disagree with you on this matter and call for a Flywheels repaint of Overlord.

If we are going to shuffle modified old terms on to new toys based on vague similarities than old Cog (and old Six Gun) are far more similar to Siege Weaponiser not Duobots. As Ralph points out these have a specific spring loaded gimmick to merge the two.
A recoloured Overlord as a new Flywheels might well be a Flywheels but he wouldn't be a Duocon.

Yes....
For me the two vehicles becoming one robot is the important bit with the Duocons.
In Many ways the concept is also there with the Multiforce pairings.

FLYWHEELS REPAINT OF OVERLORD??? They look nothing alike! -Ralph It's a jet and a tank that combine to form a robot. Better than a Blitwing repaint surely, where the jet and tank are two different modes?

Well, they're autobots, so they wouldn't be duocons.

So... no mad theories that Overlord was intended to be a new Slamdance then... or that Slamdance should be recoloured as Flywheels?

Blitzwing turns into a jet and a tank, whereas Flywheels splits into a jet and a tank.
There were calls a few years ago for Battletrap and Flywheels to be done from Generations Springer and Blitzwing.
Battletrap done was for on of the last Botcons. Flywheels wasn't but then the original Blitzwing got repainted in Flywheels colours during Platinum.

What about the amazing Sky Linx? He is one being that could become two separate vehicles AND robots.
But then he'd probably say that he is "...definitely NOT a Duocon!"

Ralph, this is conclusive proof that Shockprowl doesn't exist!
As we suspected.

The new duocons have each unit with it's own robot mode - does Cog? We do need some Duobots in the new form.

How do you reckon these work then? Where does the sentience go when in vehicle mode? Is the bit with the head inside intelligent and the other vehicle a drone under remote control? Both halves can't have a separate intelligence or they'd just argue. Or does the sentience take an omniscient role and operate both vehicles simultaneously?
