Rather than have all these seperate threads for the UK movieverse comic (and saying as there's just one thread for the UK Animated comic) please use this thread for discussion of issues. Makes things easier to follow, what with it being an ongoing series and all!

All you need to do now is to move all of the individual threads into this one assuming you want to do that.

No need. They shall fall to the bottom of the forum like fishermen falling to the bottom of the sea, killed by...Tentakil!

All you need to do now is to move all of the individual threads into this one assuming you want to do that. It would need to be done manually. I can't see an option to merge threads in the admin interface.

I'm sure it was done with another thread a few months ago but I can't seem to remember which one.

FP had #18 in early yesterday. Different cover than advertised. Awww. I was looking forward to Prime staring out the kids at the newsstand. This issue has the double whammy of Dan Khanna and Unicron. Hmmm. -Ralph

Wow fantastic art and a fairly cool story. The Megatron strip might have been quite good too I'm not sure though as I still can't see whats going on. BW made for a good mini strip for a change to.

Re: the Spoiler - it caused me to swear. Oh well wait and see what happens with it I guess. The art in Megs Origin seems even more confusing than the first time I read it. Beast Wars (first time I've read Ascending) is also confusing because I can't keep up with who all these characters are

They do use the original cover for the poster - but where they not going to do a Megatron twin poster?
But hope they go with next months cover because the background image does look good - they should redo the Movie still Prime image.

Re the spoiler - OH MY GOOD GOD! That is something I didn't expect at all! (Wonder if it's to tie in to the BW reprint?) Very interested to see where this is going...

I'm not exactly thrilled to see SPOILER, but then to be fair, for the target audience for this material SPOILER is probably a new idea. The strip itself was fairly decent.

Not best pleased with the thought of SPOILER being there either. But on the other hand, SPOILER is effectively a new idea now - it wasn't in the source material, and it has been enough years since it appeared in any of the animated series that the "normal folks" reading may never have encountered it. They are at least giving it a different origin this time around. Other than that I thought the lead strip continues to be decent - although at some point soon the world does actually need to either get around to dying or be stabilised and saved, it has been promising it for plenty of issues and they can't just tease that out forever.
The "Megatron:Origin" reprint continues to perplex me. I'm becoming confused as to who the protagonist of the story is, and whether we are supposed to place any identification in him. So far Megatron seems to have transitioned from worker robot straight to sociopathic killer in one mighty bound. I'm a little baffled about what this story is supposed to be saying, and what it is attempting to achieve.
The Beast Wars strip on the other hand does appear to at least be clear on its identity - it is a bizarre hybrid of plot points from US convention comics and a sort of speeded up hybrid of the metaplots of "Beast Wars II" and "Beast Wars Neo". It feels like the same sort of experience as having the plot of the Japanese shows explained to you by someone who read parts of a synopsis a few years ago and who has also drunk a little too much coffee. As an actual story it has lost my interest along time ago - I'm just playing a game of "spot the source" now.

I picked up #18 today. Decent Prime cover! Not sure I really dig the main strip until the end tbh. I thought Ironhide was undermined too much too.
Nice disc launcher, but was'nt that also a free gift a few issues ago? The comic seems to be repeating free gifts every few issues which isn't a bad thing as I hope they do the fac symbol sweatbands again.

Yeah the disc launcher has already been done and the cover was indeed quite good.

I believe the disc launcher was a slightly different design. Another notepad next issue! I've only just started using the first one but you can never have enough notepads.

On a whim, I decided to catch up on about a year's worth of this comic yesterday, mainly to read the original comic strip. Pretty good stuff, once you get used to it ending quicker than normal. Feeling really smug about noticing the US president is called The Fallen right away! what is the significance?

#19's started coming out.
In less than pages, Unicron's warped Cybertron into a new body, traumatised Stockade, warped into our system, and is now eyeing Earth hungrily. And on top of that we have the Decepticons winning on Earth!
GLORY!

Anyone get the feeling that the Optimus Prime on the cover was a last-minute decision to make the cover more 'commercial' (i.e. have a known character on the cover)? Same thing seems to have happened with the last issue, and also #7 - I doubt they paid Senior to do original art just for a poster.

Nowhere in my now-local area sells the Titan movie comic. Plenty of TF Animated comics, but none of the movie variety.

Nowhere in my now-local area sells the Titan movie comic. Plenty of TF Animated comics, but none of the movie variety. You can usually find them in supermarkets or WHSmith, if not local newsagents. But if you're stuck I know a good site *cough*oneshallstand.com*cough that stocks them. I get a few copies a month, mainly for people in the US, and would happy to assist anyone who can't find a copy. www.oneshallstand.com/comics3.html

I managed to snag a copy in Glasgow last weekend, but I'll bear it in mind.
Am I wrong for being tremendously excited by the free! gift that will come with issue 20? I am easily amused.

#20 isn't due until January 2nd, so it was a bit of a surprise to find it on the shelves at FPG today. Not had a chance to read it as yet. Nick Roche cover. Bad news kids: 10p price increase! #21's free tat is advertised as an 'incredible trans-dimensional sticker set' ! -Ralph

Hmm didn't notice the Roachey goodness due to my eyes being drawn to the stationary set. As for the issue... um actually I haven't read it yet either
