My newsagent charged me £2.60 for the latest issue regardless that I pounted out it was £2.99 on the cover. The EPOS price is correct apartentley, so I'm not going to argue about that.
I really enjoyed this issue and the extras.

And I see from next issue more stationery on the way. Shockingly it's been a few months now since the last time the Free! thing was a firing projectile weapon.

Has anyone noticed that the comic is now called Transformers Universe as, from issue 23 it now features a TF Animated strip.

So the inevitable relaunch as Volume 2 - makes sense really.

Transformers Comic v2 #1 June 2009
Hope they do stick with calling it Transformers Universe. - but why not wait until going back to #1 for #27 - mainly due to they have #24,25 to print the last 22 pages of Megatron Origin #4 BW2 #4 - along with the 22 pages that are for the UK strip & then we know have 24 pages for animated over the 2 issues [movie being 11 pages while animated is 12 pages]. How are they going to fit that in 2 issues? We know the ad for #24 said extra pages issue - means just the 12 for animated. They'll need to print 12 pages of each Origin/BW in #24,25.

I also hope for v2 [looks to be priced £2.70 - £2.99] has the 12 pages Movie then 12 pages animted - with extra 12 pages for doing some reprint- maybe IDW line after finishing up all IDW reprints in v1. But would be good if they turned it in CE format.

Oooh! I found a copy of #24 a whole week early. Excitingly, it comes with Autobot/Decepticon rubbers and pencils! Choose your allegiance and...draw!

Sod the projectile weapons we could have a fight using the pencils and rubbers! The pencil could be a substitute sword and the rubber a substitute shield!

As for #24's lead strip, the usual fast-paced frenzied tosh. More happens in this than in 10 issues of AHM, which is a reasonable comparison as the plot is not a million miles away from it, really. I was also placed to see Fracture have a cameo! As per the cover, Megatron's face appearing on TV screens while Starscream loses the plot was quite effective. Cliffhanger made me cheer. I wonder if the Autobots are going to make Cybertron transform? Look at the cogs, etc they are farting about with... The Animated strip was quite fun. I was rooting for Megatron all the way, though. I wanted him to kill Bumblebee! Megatron's horoscopes amused me. On the letters pages, Starscream tells us what he would like to do to Croydon. I hope he continues to taunt the readers in volume 2! NEXT MONTH: PENCIL POD! -Ralph

I remain confused by Sentinel Prime in that strip shouting: "I'M GOING APEX!" though. Does that mean he's off to get a discounted deal on rain fares?

It could very well mean that. After all, he is in danger of being ridden out of town on a rail.....
Or perhaps he just has a spellchecker malfunctioning and he is trying to say that he is going Ape about this situation.
Karl (Who is also for some inexplicable amused that Megatron's fusion cannon - an awe-inspiring weapon of terrifying power in most versions of Transformers is, in the IDWverse, just a random firearm boosted from a police armoury during a prison break..)

I remain confused by Sentinel Prime in that strip shouting: "I'M GOING APEX!" though. He means he's going to done Apex Armour, like in the Japanese toyline. Which makes NO SENSE to readers who've never heard of Apex Armour.
