I would love it to turn into an ongoing comic incorporating every toyline that comes out in some strange homage to early Marvel. I wish it had. The last year of Titan would've been more exciting if they'd gone "right, that's it, we're bringing in the Power Core Combiners and Hunt For The Decepticons at the same time" and stuff.

#19 had a letter that stated that - gave the print dates for the next few issues. where does it say that? I just looked through the magazine again and couldn't see it Itwa4 letter with the sub copy - dont know if it was included with the newsagent copy?

Power Core came after Hunt had started too, didn't it? So there's a narrative already: while the Autobots and NEST are mopping up the remaining traditional Decepticons, a canny group have turned Combiner.

well if Titan doesn't do this then someone should! And then Straxus comes along... maybe he created the PCC technology and experimented on some helpless Autobots and Decepticons? and don't you mean Darkmount now? lol

And then Straxus comes along... "Darkmount", sadly, but come along he would with Skullgrin. Maybe there's a plot here too: Megatron has buggered off, leaving Decepticons all over Earth, and Darkmount is his bruiser sent in to retake control and get everyone doing what he wants. Except the surviving 'Cons, all Combiners, get pissed and decide "hang on, why should we follow Megatron's orders when he won't help us?". (Having Mini-Con partners having made the Decepticons come more around to the POWER OF TEAMWORK) And the movie Autobots would, every so often, get a brief redeco pimping temporary upgrade for a specific mission.

TFUK #20 has started to appear on newsagent shelves. The issue comes with a faction symbol mask (I got the Autobot symbol), 2 small badges (a spiffy Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, in my case) and a 'mystery' gift (not mysterious in the slightest. It's sold in a transparent plastic bag). The copies I saw contained a TF Animated comic sticker set). It continues to be sold at the ridiculous £3.99 price point.
I won't say much about the comic strip to avoid spoiling the issue. Simon Furman turns in a decent script, which is bought to life by Jon Davis-Hunt, Kirsty Swan and Den Patrick. I half-expected to see a drop in the quality of artwork, but it easily compares to latter days of volume 1. Jon D-H manages to draw better humans than the majority of IDW artists. The story ends on a surprisingly-good cliffhanger, possibly the first one since the comic was relaunched (though I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong).
Overall, an enjoyable issue, but you are likely to feel that it provides poor value for your money.
Edit: The next issue is out on April 7th

Knightbeat, I've been inspired to get it by your comments. So if I don't like it, it's your fault.

I DID like it! That was a direction I hadn't expected (though waiting TWO MONTHS may kill the cliffhanger).

I saw a copy on a newsagent shelf and thought: "I'm not paying £4 for that." Regular readers, please let me know when the DOTM comic starts.

By pure fluke did I manage to pick up the latest issue... in a motorway services on the M1 on Tuesday night! Not opened it yet, but I think this is the first time ever that a cover has been entirely blocked out by the free gifts!!

That's £3.99 wasted . A reapeat free gift of animated stickers, a story that reminds me why Movie Wheelie sucks and quite thin in the page department. I enjoy the fan art section as always, but that was about it with this mag. Worst issue yet for me. ===KEN

For the first time in ages my local WH SMith stocked it. Picked it up and we are indeed getting a volume 3 ahead of Dark of the Moon. No details really apart from a new look and new content.
Hopefully closer to V1 than V2.

I enjoyed the comic, but was a bit shocked by the price, though I am looking forward to June for the start of the DOTM stuff now (maybe we'll see new characters instead of just returning ones)

oh, here's my synopsis etc of issue 2.21 aesirs-place.webs.com/titan2.htm#725340664Oh I just noticed something sort of silly On the spot the difference thing on page 13, look at Bumblebee's licence plate (ps this wasn't mentioned in the answers bit, so I don't think it was intentional)

Megatron's brutalisation of Bludgeon - and the 'Cons all going "yeah, see ya Bludgy!" - is nicely done, but it's undermined by the fact this happens when Bludgeon was wiping out the Autobots. At least one of them was dead! He was going to win! Suddenly having Megatron beat up Bludgeon is a real anti-climax. Especially since, y'know, Bludgeon was the one actually achieving things since #13.
Wheelie running into Dead End, on the other hand, is very fun indeed!
