Jonathan slept till 6 this morning - hurrah !
He was laughing away when watching the Night Garden yesterday everytime the Tomliboos Trousers fell down.
He can ride on his little car for a short distance now.
Party is 2 weeks today. I'm filled with dread.

Ah, the first birthday party is great. Piglet is 17 months now. She only just discovered walking in the last 4 weeks. Now there's no stopping her! She's also obsessed with walking around with her red wellies on her hands. Strange creatures so they be.

I thought this subject definitely deserved its own thread. I didn't get around to replying to the old thread before it got scrubbed - but I'm hoping things work out with the baby delivery Phil! It sounds like quite a tense time, so I hope Liz and the little one get through everything okay.
I'm really tempted to make a joke about the baby having a large head just like the father, but I figured Cullen will be along soon to do that!

Baby was still breech this morning.
They initially offered to turn him which we refused as there was some risk.The offer was then withdrawn when they realised how high Liz's BP was.
A Caesarean is booked for Wednesday 15th November.

So today while he's up at the hospital for monitoring baby decides to sit on his cord. Causing his heart rate to drop and giving the nurses a worry. Doctor summoned. Go away she says, and comeback in 2 hours when we'll do the monitoring again to see if it's any better. Oh and if you're going to go home you might want to get The Bag. Eeeek !
Fortunately he didn't do it again when monitored the 2nd time. But said Bag will now be in the back of the car every time we go up.
9 days to go.

Happy birthday Jonathan! Reading through that thread brought back memories. Not good ones. Piglet was an UNDIAGNOSED breach. She fooled 2 midwifs. Bita of a shock. All went completely tits up. Everyone came out of it ok though in the end thank goodness. Not good this birth lark!

Jonathan was diagnosed today with a mild to moderate learning difficulty. They noted that there were tendancies towards Autistic Spectrum Disorder but aren't sure enough to diagnose that and are having another look at that in 6 months time.

Jonathan was diagnosed today with a mild to moderate learning difficulty. They noted that there were tendancies towards Autistic Spectrum Disorder but aren't sure enough to diagnose that and are having another look at that in 6 months time. The Mild to Moderate learning disability was diagnosed by IQ testing. He scored between 50-70. Average IQ is 115-124. |
