Very much enjoyed Hugh's introduction.
Now I'm wondering if this is even 'his' Cube which is how I thought they would angle it.

And interesting that the Borg may appear to have trouble assimilating Romulans... Perhaps the Shak Vagh have genetically reprogrammed the race to reject implants at some level?

The Admiral is always prepared. Best not think too hard about the fight scene. If a band of assassins wants three people in a farmhouse dead, there are more reliable ways of achieving it than sending men inside to fight them hand to hand.
Once Picard and co. had triumphed, their first thought should not have been to tie up the survivor and have a long conversation. It should have been to beam the hell out of there before the second team opened up on them with their shoulder-mounted photon torpedo launchers or somesuch.

True, but there can only be so many Romulan agents and they have been knocking them off at a fair clip.

I agree with all that, was inwardly yelling for them to just get out, but I'm enjoying the series so much I can let it slide.
Doctor Jurati is probably an infiltrator? We didn't see her conversation with the Commodore, she showed up a bit conveniently, and the lack of security checking on her is a bit of a red flag. My guess would be that she doesn't know Oh's real identity though and thinks she's helping out Starfleet.
The series seems to improve with every episode; the writing, characterisation and pacing are great. I hope it can pay off everything it's been setting up and hinting at, but I'm more confident in that than I usually am.

I think it is clear now that they are not on Earth. Maybe they are on this place Picard is now headed to? Possibly it is a place for folk who have tired of Federation 'perfection' and just want a quieter, less regulated life?

Maybe they are living at Freecloud or maybe the plot sends Picard back to Earth or to Betazed. Theres been no signs of Seven yet either so lots of story still to tell.

If theres one thing Im not really enjoying about Picard its the Starfleet uniforms. They look like they dont fit.
The ones shown in flash backs are better, but still dont look right.
Picards jacket in episode 4 was a much better starfleet uniform despite not being a starfleet uniform.

Oh and every time I stumble across a fan complaining about the series, it being for some idioitic reason.
Most of which can be answered by the statement, so you never watched Deep Space Nine! Or you really they weren't paying attention to any trek ever.
The whole this isnt what Star Trek is supposed to be literally applied to about the first 3 seasons of TNG (and even that introduced a character that came from just about the worst place ever). The other 27 seasons and movies were pretty much anything goes.

I like how it is different in tone from Discovery but feels like it's made by the same people. Some fans forget that when we last had two Trek shows on air at the same time that they weren't meant to feel the same.
It isn't perfect. The B-plot on the artefact is dragging and feels like filler. I could do without the swearing. Overall, I am enjoying it though.

{Spoiler}Or is she another one of Bruce Maddox' creations... That is the favoured theory in the House of M as well. Along with Lore being behind it all.
It's possible I am just TV paranoid after many misdirections in Designated Survivor and Downton Abbey.

Urgh, not a fan of this week's episode. Felt very budget and just an excuse for a guest star appearance.
And stop the lense flare, feels like it's trying to distract us from something.

More than anything else I did not care for the gratuitous gore. But I guess that's just how TV is these days; there are lots of shows I'd enjoy more if they went easy on that. Otherwise this was okay-to-good by the standards of the show so far. I'm really getting to like Rios and his holograms.
