I made the mistake of thinking about these interacting with Fort Max or Star Saber.
I now want them all so I can pose Starsaber drinking a milkshake or throwing a football.
This will end badly.

I have this theory that Botbots are similar to the Doozers from Fraggle Rock. They just go about their business when the big Transformers come along and dont acknowledge that they're sentient and just use their alt-modes willy nilly, the way Fraggles would just not acknowledge the Doozers has worked tirelessly on their constructions before eating them.
If anything though.. This is even worse, it's not a separate thing being used, it's the Botbot themselves.

Although according to Muppet Wikia, if the Fraggles didn't eat the Doozer constructions they'd run out of space and have to move away and die, which makes as much sense as anything else in Fraggle Rock, I guess.

Actually that does make a kind of sense. The Doozers building seemed more like a pathological compulsion than anything else. It isn't so much like Major Clanger, who would decide it would be useful to have an X and so would go and make an X. It was more like Doozers had to build _something_ all the time. Neccessary, useful or of practical value didn't seem to have any relevance, as long as they were constructing. So yeah, I can see them running out of room left unchecked. (Hmmm. Is that a metaphor?)
