Shame there aren't any in shops for when the cartoon launched.

Not that I'd want to call Hasbro inept, but it's comical how they get this wrong so often. I see the BotBots toys that have just been announced are on American sites as being available sept 2023, yet we're just about to get toys for a film that isn't out til next year.
Mind you I guess the sept 23 date is a placeholder, BBTS say sept 22. Everyone else says 23. And we know at the moment Hasbro are being ultra conservative with release dates.

Sept 2022 or 2023 for toys to tie in with a kids cartoon launching in March 2022 is inept whichever way you look at it.

It's almost like they listened to the ranting about the WfC cartoons turning up a year after the toys and thought, right, we'll see about that...

What's worse is thst the main characters in the show are all part of the series 1 toys that were only around in 2018.
I guess they will now be highly sought after (even if they look even less like their cartoon models than Ratchet & Ironhide did in 1984).

I mean Rise of the Beasts wasn't Hasbro's fault. How was Hasbro to know that Hasbro would delay the release of the film by a year, after the toyline was already well into production? And you should indeed consider that between the pandemic and general global shipping issues that there could well be a delay so they'd have no idea when toys would actually hit shelves. And it's not like Netflix, being an online streaming service, is a platform you can just drop content on at any time or anything, so they couldn't have delayed the release of the show. Erm. Yeah they've really done their best with this one, have they? Actually what I think has happened is that this is just another consequence of the pandemic. This show was originally meant to go out at the end of last year, but was clearly delayed due to some reason - possibly the toys not being ready. But then the film was put back, ostensibly due to reshoots - but any competent film production company will plan reshoots into its schedule, it's just how things were done these days. So either it wasn't just reshoots or they were just rubbish at planning. And without their promised Transformers content out this year Hasbro wanted *something* on screens, so just threw Botbots out anyway. I do wonder if Earthspark'll suffer the same fate. Was it actually planned to come out late this year, or have they brought it forwards a bit to compensate for the film slipping by a year? And will there be Earthspark toys in the shops by Christmas, or will they come out in the middle of next year? I won't be surprised at all if it's the latter, since the ES toys were meant to fill the shelves a year after RotB toys had been put out, and they've not been able to re-jig the shipping schedule sufficiently to compensate. Something of a mess, really... What's worse is thst the main characters in the show are all part of the series 1 toys that were only around in 2018. I guess they will now be highly sought after (even if they look even less like their cartoon models than Ratchet & Ironhide did in 1984). And this is exactly why no-one can say this *isn't* Transformers. There's nothing more G1 than the animation models not matching the toys at all!

Well.... Isn't entertainment purely based on selling a product supposed to be a bad thing anyway?
Nice to know that Transformers is now above this and is not just a 'toy cartoon/comic/movie' property that was always sneered at by the 'proper' science fiction fans.

I had completely forgotten they existed. I also now realise I had forgotten a cartoon existed too.

You fool. These are children's 'toys', not Adult Collectables.
