Ah, crap. So far I have snagged 40 of the 61. These new ones raise that 61 to an unknown higher number. When will it stop?!

Hasbro's website says 190 characters in 2019. So there's a way to go yet...

Finally, one of Hasbro's toyline has stopped being fixated on the mid-'80s - now they're embracing the 1990s! Global Hypercolour's back!

Botbots get two thumbs up from the younger generation in this house today! She has Sippy Slurps and Frostferatu (amazing name) and now has a wants list that increases every time she looks at the picture on the packed-in leaflet.
I had missed that there would be a cannolo Botbot, a must-buy in this house as we go to Sicily every summer.
They feel a bit more solid and high-quality than I expected based on how they looked, too. I want to say they are over-priced, but they are the same price as the MLP blind bags used to be and those things don't have any moving parts (and they also tended to get quite discounted, over here at least, so there's that to look forward to).

I really like these- but surely only the most wealthy of fans can afford a complete collection. I might have to enforce abstinence for my well being on these things.

We will, of course, be getting all of these. I’ll have no choice.
But as was pointed out elsewhere, with the piano Botbot we can now recreate that scene from Target: 2006! So yes! We need these!

I am safe from Bot Bots. -Ralph Some are great, some are terrible. That's why I like them. Nowadays all the Transformers are super cleverly engineered. There are so many Botbots they can't go to that level of slickness so it's a return to some of the really weird and baffling engineering of G1 in some ways.

They just don't feel great in hand. I don't know why other than that my big adult fingers have problems moving parts without them pinging off.

Hmmm. It's true that some of the Series 1 Botbots suffered a little from this issue, but by and large the subsequent series have had better engineering and tolerances (the main exception being the cupcake unicorn mold, whose wings always want to come off). But then again, I do have small hands for an adult man, so maybe that's part of it...
