Oooo. Now we've been wanting proper Voyager Earth jets for Donkeys Years. Will this be the dog's b0!!0(<$ or dog meat? Last year's Voyager robot - which was rather good - with a new plane frame on it's back? Or completely new mould? I'd be so happy if they made cockpit Titanmaster compatible. Gah! Just as I'm poised to have all three Siegekers finally!

I'm not sure how I feel about all this. I've wanted an Earth mode voyager jet mould for so long, but that'd be incredibly fast after the Tetrajet mould. Three different voyager Starscreams in three consecutive lines? What?!
It feels wrong. This is War for Cybertron, not War for Earth. We know from the fan poll that Runabout's back story is he stows away on the Ark. This is Armageddon - the climax of the Cybertron war. We're not ready for Earth yet.

Personally, I could care less about Hasbro's "story" for the nostalgia line. It's just rehashing what we've already had several times, and will be decanonized in a few years anyway when they're on their new kick to explain why they're redoing all the 84/85 characters again.
Cyberverse is where their story efforts should be.

Wheeljack remoulded into Tracks (as per Generations/RTS) and Sunstreaker (CW) But Tracks and Sunstreaker were never Cybertronian bread vans! Oh yeah. They're never going to do that alt-mode. Because they hate us. Hasbro? More like... Has-boo! Or something. They'll never get over that burn...

I love Ironworks!
As much as I like Big Daddy, I'm still burned by the QC problems of the new Micromasters.

Please please PLEASE LET THIS BE THE LAST G1 PRIME FOR A LONG TIME HERESY! As a devout Optimus Prime fan... ...I completely agree with you. Their philosophy is... questionable, to be sure. I still wish that the Cybertron Prime had been the War Within/Chaos-era design, or at the very least the box-on-wheels from Marvel #1. *Something* different. *That* said, that trailer has made me want that Prime anyway. Because of course it fucking has. Even though BB Prime is the *perfect* update of G1 Prime in my mind, there's something about seeing that trailer like that. Also I'm an idiot, so you know. Because aside from that trailer, there really is no reason at all for this figure to exist. IRONWORKS! That's a FANTASTIC idea, and I want more of that. *This* is what we want from a line, not the same Prime all over again. And GRAPPLE! My first Transformer (by a few minutes - Prime was a close second). There's no way I'm not getting this. But also... DISAPPOINTMENT! Earth modes already, which means they're probably going to avoid the wackiness of the '86-onwards lines for now, which is a shame. But I guess this was inevitable. And now we wait and see what the rest of the reveals are going to be. Between now and February's Toy Fair...

I was kind of hoping this would be part 3.
Would have been nice to see the meanwhile on Cybertron era with a bit of a mixed cast. Admittedly having already gotten Impactor and Shockwave and the fembots from the cartoon maybe there wasnt that much to do there, but Xarron, Straxus, RacknRuin, Blaster and loads of those really weird Marvel UK designs plus some of the regular names seems like a strong line up.
And it would have provided a bit of a gap betweenPrimes and Starscreams. At least Starscream got a cybertronian mode. As Llama said why not Box-on-wheels Prime if this was next up.
And yes to Jettys Spychanger Prime

Okay so, if this is Earth, then "part three" needs to be G2 or Beast Wars.

Ironworks: I'd seen a lot of people saying Weaponiser MM bases as deluxe over the last week and couldn't quite see how it worked. The answer is really well. Love that the base has a robot mode. They're going to be a two of each toy.
Grapple: had been riding up my needs list. This is SUPERB. Looks fab in both modes with Impactor rotating fists that have 5mm holes the other side. Another 5mm hole on the end of the crane arm above the hook. He'll make a great Inferno.
Op: fab. Cab might be a little big compared to trailer, need to see more pics. But the Siege Voyager is almost certainly getting Fu'd thanks to this.

Hmmm....
Grapple: seems like a fair enough Grapple. It is pretty much aesthetically what people are going to want a Grapple toy to be. Personally I liked the chunkier, squatter SolarStorm Grapple a lot. This is fine but doesn't rise much above "that is a toy that they made" for me.
Hot Rod Patrol: More Micromasters, I'm ok with that. I'm not sure that they are must buys, but I could see me picking them up if I happened to have the spare cash and I was in London or Birmingham and saw them in FP.
Optimus Prime: Another Optimus Prime toy, with a trailer. but with no Roller so still less play value than the reissue Convoy that heads up my Convoy Council... At this point I've owned so many Optimus Prime toys that I can't really get excited about this one. It makes no real impression on me at all. At the very best this is an "if I see one on a stall at TFN for the £20 - £25 mark I might take a punt on it.
Ironworks: The star of the show. I was only half thinking we would get Micromaster bases. I didn't think that if we did get them then they would be like this. Sure, he is obviously a partsformer on a Godbomber level. But I like the idea of a little base which turns into a big robot to support the Micromasters. I love the aesthetic of the humanoid mode - all Heavy Industry looking, and he has a big, vicious-looking crane hook for one hand. What is not to love! I've only got two of the new Micromasters so far, and neither of them are Autobots. I still want Ironworks anyway. Fun-looking toy, and something a bit different. More of this sort of thing please.

Thankfully I have no problem with parts formers, I do have a problem with robots that dont really turn in to anything. Which counted against the weapoisers. Im always happier when it seem like they started with the alt mode and made a robot out of it.

I am not nearly as moved by Ironworks as everyone else everywhere else. I admit I'm in a minority. Though I'm happier with this direction for the continuation of the weaponizers, over forcing "normal" transformers into being weapinizers (i think Wreck-Gar is the only "normal" tf that would work for).
Grapple is a resounding yes, but I'd have been a lot happier with it had I not already gotten the MMC MP Backdraft and Girder for this purpose.
The new WfC Micromasters aren't doing much for me. I'll get them but tgese just feel very samey to the other car micros we've gotten.
