If you start including the fanclub stuff there's all that Cybertronian Beast Wars stuff they did, and their Sky-Byte too.
It's a depressingly small list isn't it! I suppose what we all need is just another G1 Starscream

Oh for Botcon one year? Bugger you're right. Honestly though, I'm not sure if I'd include Botcon stuff personally. You EXPECT them to do stuff like that. That's pretty much what they're for, now Hasbro has cornered the 'G1 repaint' market instead of them!

If you're including TFCC and TFSS theres the Botcon 2006 set, TFCC Airrazor, TFCC Transmutate, and I think there might be another, oh the Terradive repaint.

I was eating my dinner!
The Terradive repaint is Depth Charge.
Knew there'd been an Airazor buthead was saying Botcon Shadowhawk repaint.
Wow that Cybertron BW Group looks big!

Wow that Cybertron BW Group looks big! Well to be fair it was the entire theme of Botcon one year, and Botcon LOVE to just churn out figures and devalue the uniqueness of an exclusive *winku*

The pre-beasts are the one time I dont mind it one bit. The original Botcon set (which technically also includes Inferno and Rumble from the custom class) are a fantastic set and most of the susequent add ons have been at least decent. Depthcharge is a little bit small but still great. Tarantulas is the only one Im not keen on even then its not terrible.

If MP is included, does that mean non-generations type lines are, too? Because TF Adventure Greejeeber is so left field it deserves mention.
Also, Movie Fracture- Crasher Movie Jolt- G2 Jolt RotF Fearswoop- G2 Hooligan RotF Reverb is an intentional homage to BW Inferno ("Calany Racing" is a typo that was supossed to read "Colony Racing"). He's also coincidentally dead on for the gobot Dart, down to his number. RotF Deadlift- Gobot Spoons

Anyone want to offer any alternatives for these? Which CHUG figures are the best modern versions of the Diaclone cars in terms of what looks good together as a uniform team (rather than judging toys on their own merits).
Optimus - Earthrise
Jazz - RTS Mirage - Siege/Classics Bluestreak - Siege Hound - Siege/Henkei Sideswipe - Siege Ratchet - Siege
Prowl - Siege Ironhide - Siege Wheeljack - Generations 2010/Earthrise - JURY OUT Trailbreaker - T30 Sunstreaker - Universe still the best bet?
Smokescreen - Selects Red Alert - Siege Skids - Takara Legends Grapple - Earthrise Inferno - PotP? or does Universe still win out? Hoist - Earthrise Tracks - RTS Turbo

I think that's a pretty good list there chum. I do worry somewhat about some of the sizes there, Gen Sunstreaker, RTS Jazz. But if they work to your Mind's Eye then that's all you need.
Skids is the only figure there that I feel doesn't do the original justice. He just does't look like Skids to me (my joint first Transformer).
I don't have my RTS Jazz anymore, the bloody crap and poorly made PotP fills the Jazz-gap. Nor do I have my Gen Sunstreaker, but that mold was very tall.
I keep toying with the idea of completing the '84 crew...

The only version of Grapple is the RTS
Inferno comes down to is the Universe robot good enough to make up for the train wreck of a vehicle mode.
I think you'll think the Siege Mirage is better when you get it

Trailbreaker and Hoist were too small even at the time. But yeah, Universe Grapple and Inferno are still the best for my money.

I'm set on trying to do 84-87 with CHUG figures. It's getting more possible to realise that now. I agree Skids could do with a better figure, the T30 one is very IDW.
84 I think is very possible now if you throw in some 3P Legends to fill the minibots out, like the Mechanic Studio ones you have for Huffer and Gears. Ideally the jets would be Earth modes, but I reckon... well, what have we got there:
Megatron - Siege (although of course not 84 in the UK)
Starscream - Siege Thundercracker - Siege Skywarp - Siege
Soundwave - Siege Frenzy - BB Argos Pack TR Rumble - TR Laserbeak - Siege I suppose to be the right size Buzzsaw - ??? Ravage - Ugh.

On reflection I might even go CW Trailbreaker over the T30 one. Again, the IDW feel isn't right for a G1 update. But you're right Ben - they're both too small.
I'd like to see Armageddon give us a new Trailbreaker at the Siege Ironhide height, Sunstreaker and a Voyager Inferno/Grapple mould. I reckon I could live with T30 Hoist and Skids if it meant getting the others.
Would be an amazing shelf to display I think.

Yes it was the 3P mini Autobots that have pulled me very close being tempted to try and finish the '84ers.
For the '84ers I include the Insecticions (check!), and the Constructicons (check! although a bit big individually, they spend all their time as Devastator).
The big problem are the Dinobots...
3P MP are too big and too expensive to complete. While the delux ones are waaaaay too small.

This is always where my CHUG collection was heading, since CW we've been heading toward a really good collection representing the figures that the modern toy line can do. We're not going to get Pretenders the right size, or a full set of Micromasters with bases, but up to the end of the Headmasters in 88 I think it won't be long before the entire original line will be represented in a style that feels cohesive and in scale.

Its slightly annoying how close they came to a complete set of minibots before resetting.
Henkei Hound over seige for me and I still like Universe/RTS inferno and Grapple.

It is. There was still work to do there though. With releases like Brawn and Windcharger it was starting to look really good, but there weren't many that really stood out.

I suspect a second run at it will happen soon. Hopefully starting with those that didnt get them first time or the ones that were a bit half hearted.
Obviously Bumblebee will be first, but after him I mean.
