The Conjunx and I have tickets booked for opening day also. With our usual plan of Jo going in the afternoon during the Scraplet's nap, and me going in the evening. I'm not necessarily expecting great things, but I also don't want any of the potentially good bits spoiled by GIFs on social media, so first day it is...

I'm leaning towards leaving it a while to see how the word of mouth is. I'm inclined to look for something I'm really likely to enjoy to risk a return to cinemas for though (I was hoping that might be Polite Behaviour, but I've seen no evidence of it coming in my direction , so I suspect I may end up sitting this one out until a cheap DVD can be obtained. I'm not to worried about spoilers - if the film itself is any good then the journey through it will be enjoyable regardless of whether or not I know what is coming.

But yes, the Conjunx and I also have tickets already booked for opening day - although for different showings, since the Scraplet prevents us from going together. And yes, we could take him, but he's only 3 (or will be then) which means he's yet to have a proper grasp of all 40 years' worth of the franchise's history, which he'll need before I'll allow him to consume any related media! Also he wouldn't sit still for two hours, but that's clearly a lesser concern.

Rise of the Beasts has been watched. No time to put any detailed thoughts up right now, but at the very least I didn't feel the urge to come here and write a massive, multi-page rant as I did immediately after seeing Age of Extinction. Which might suggest something.
