*IF* The Voyager is the Earthrise Op cab then I would suggest the leader is unlikely to be the Earthrise Op whole toy because that would be two lots of the same Op mould out at the same time

G2 Megs in the spoiler box?

Bumblebee and Elita 1 are interesting because they take us into new territory for that line. Bumblebee particularly. If he'd been heavily battle damaged I'd say clearly we'll get a clean one in Earthrise wave 4 (if there is a wave 4) but the fact they've put exactly what the Earthrise figure would be in the Netflix line is weird. It isn't impossible he'd get a mainline release, Black Series put out identical figures in different lines (eg the new moulds on the 40th card backs are coming out in black series boxes too), so he could turn up as a wave filler down the line, but it would be something new for Transformers. Maybe Hasbro had to entice Walmart into another wave by offering some new figures as opposed to repaints. I'm not sure I got all the news yesterday, but is season 2 of the Netflix show due in October? If it is and its Earthrise based then the earth modes make sense and so does have a few of the exclusives be new for tht season of the show. Bumblebee would be an a lot of remoulding for a store exclusive but if they plan a mass retail use down the line not so much.

G2 Megs in the spoiler box? Im trying to ignore that they've gone straight from Micromasters to Beast Wars, skipping Action Masters through G2.

If that adds up to 34 transformation steps then maybe... -Ralph Looked up the amazon listing. 27 steps. Add all the steps of the trailer to open it up, and it still doesn't meet 34. 34 could be made up of leader class toy and Battlemaster?

They usually list steps for each toy separately. So a battlemaster would be listed on it's own, if at all.
The trailer would be considered an accessory. To be honest, I only added it onto siege prime's just to see if it'd add together. I'm not sure they even count the trailer of astro's tinder box.

I'm not sure they are obliged to follow a pattern used once from decades ago? If so they are going 'back' to Beast Wars after doing Galaxy Force Optimus etc. Which does make me wonder now if we will ever see that Armada Optimus again?

The big question is, of course: How many W*NC Optimuses is Phil going to buy, just for that Pissramp*? Surely his WFC city will be incomplete without Yellow Piss Road..?
(*I was going to go with "Pissbarrier", but Kris Carter suggested "Pissramp" instead, and since he's the primary source of Soundbarrier fiction I felt I should probably listen to him.)

I was just looking at that video again (because that's what we do here) to see if there's any confusion in what they're presenting with regard to Prime - but Toph's right, the Prime render they show as being part of the toy is the original Earthrise render done without the shield but with dirtied smokestacks. It's definitely a newly done image that is there on purpose. Being a render it might not show the kind of paint finish that separated the original Siege Megs from the Netflix version. His image is shown in sequence with the two Battlemasters, I don't think it's a mistake. The designer, Mark, also seems clear that is the version they've worked on and makes a point of saying the render from Polygon is the Siege version, which makes sense as that will be what's in the show. I think when you watch that back there's no mistake - the Voyager three pack release is going to be the Earthrise mould, just with a paint finish that matches Netflix Megatron.
Which means as said, I don't think the spoiler will be the Earthrise Prime mould because Hasbro don't use the same mould in the same wave twice. What's weird is the height - the info says the figure is seven inches, but that puts it much higher than the current Leader size (which is really voyager - Astrotrain is about 6 1/4 inches) and shorter than the previous ones (Siege Magnus is around eight in his armour).
Actually, if you give Astrotrain the skis from his tender he clocks in at about 6 3/4 inches.

But surely Phil already knew this. What has he now discovered that makes these Battlemasters relevant where they weren't before? They aren't homages to old Targetmasters are they? I thought they weren't.

Ooops, discovered a reason to own Hotlink. One call to out Birmingham agent and one is secured. Wrong name, I'm tired! SCRAPFACE! Nick was getting Hotlink for The Kaptain and succeeded! Hotlink's Battlemaster's blast effects are Blowpipe's, minus the flash round the base which is removable

No, they're a homage to his flamethrowers in the G1 cartoon Yes, I know that, even though they don't look anything like it (still want a 3P co to do a proper one). I thought you'd found some obscure connection that made them necessary, but I see we're actually talking about Scrapface.
