Wait a minute. Hotlink was secretly in the Sunbow show the whole time? I thought he was a new guy for the Netflix show. Hotlink is the name that's been given retroactively to the purple Tetrajet guard that fires a flamethrower at Bumblebee and Wheeljack in the opening of the first episode. |

Bumblebee’s a must-have for sure - he looks really good. And that’s a better animation head than either of the Masterpiece toys so far. Now we just need one that gives him his proper G1 toy head.
Elita-1 also pops a lot more in those photos compared to her renders. Although it remains to be seen if the production model will be that good.
The rest are nice, but I’ll pass. Despite how much I want a Pissramp.

The last B&M on my jaunt today was next door to Smyths, so I popped in for a look as it was pretty dead. That Megatron is lovely! Having that as soon as there is a sale. There were shelf loads of them. I thought about buying Sky Lynx, but having just shipped 60 quid on Who figures I thought better of it.

Thinking back to that very smooth Cyclonus factory test we saw a while ago, I'm wondering if this Arcee mould is designed to be more in keeping with the possible Studio Series 86 look we've yet to really learn about. That vehicle really doesn't fit the current aesthetic.

I'm really liking the look of that Bumblebee - and I might even prefer it over the original Masterpiece (and certainly over the new one). I know that a lot of the engineering is pinched from that, but this looks like it'll be more sturdy and better to just fiddle with.
Elita-1 also doesn't look quite so bad in those colours. The vehicle mode is still boring, and it remains a shame how much of an Arcee re-do she is when there was the opportunity there to completely re-shell her, but the colours are more vivid, so they kinda work.

What I like about Bumblebee is how the legs/feet remind me of the original 1984 toy. I really want a version of this mould with the 1984 head design.

YES. That would be a perfect Selects that I would be all over. In gold chrome, too, for pure G2ness.
They'll give us a red one instead.
