I have just got off the phone to my dentist. All appointments cancelled. I have been instructed to take painkillers and if the pain doesn't go away hope that it is manageable until the NHS sets up some Manchester wide triage centre that might see me. Ho hum. Hoping it is all sinus related and abates after a few days.. I had that experience yesterday. Had some swelling since I had a filling replaced four weeks ago. Its probably an infection, but thankfully it hasnt been painful yet. Touch wood, its been improving on its own, I think the same thing happened in December and it settled down on its own, but if it gets worse they'll give me a prescription for antibiotics. Long term, looks like tooth removal or root canal. It wasn't clear if they were still doing procedures or not. I think real emergency ones, maybe.

That's basically what they said to me too. Good that there is a plan with these triage centres but bonkers dentist shut down all services without telling patients before it was activated. Mind you this is from the government who went on record this afternoon saying their were no PPE shortages in hospitals so...
It has been very painful all day though so will up the painkillers this evening (never easy with me as I can't do tablets) and call them again in the morning. Quite happy to take antibiotics if they prescribe me some.
I had a sinus and throat infection in the same area a fortnight ago which was why the original appointment to have the tooth out was cancelled so suspect it is all related.

In an attempt to make home feel a bit more like home I've got some DW DVDs out.... and in the process discovered I can't find the box with Hartnell to late Pertwee. It's a little thing, but please pray it turns up. Look for suspiciously small boxes - it might be bigger on the inside. FOUND! They were in the box pile in the office. I can watch Troughton again now!

Either good or terrible depending on your point of view. My place is a bit backward even for primary, so I set up a Google drive, shared a link to it to parents and uploaded to it whatever all the teachers wanted putting there. I tried to get Google classroom set up, but our kids don't even have email accounts and I don't have the permissions to access the mail server to set it up properly. So it's terrible in that our interaction with the kids is poor, but good in that there's very little to do to maintain it. I've mostly been working on other stuff instead.

Morning all
Lovely quiet day yesterday. Some great food from Liz, who has been cooking some amazing stuff since we've been home.
Body feels like it's improving, keep praying against sinusitis and the odd neck stuff. and that Jonathan is sensible and concentrates when he has to go out the door.

I have my 'key worker' letter to show to The Police if I have to go out. Even though I am supposed to be working from home. Except for the times when I can't.

I got an hilariously inept photocopied joke of a key worker letter last week.
It was so bad that a second one was handed out within two days. In comparison it is a masterpiece, but if not for the first letter I had recieved I would have described it as an hilariously inept photocopied joke of a key worker letter.

Everyone was quite certain if questioned by the Police our uniforms were an infinitely more convincing key worker letter.

Went out between the hours of 8am and 7pm for the first time in a week and the first time beyond my nearest post office for a bit longer. I didn't like it.
Experienced the lining up to get into the shops for the first time. Really glad I need to shop that way regularly. But I needed an incinerator bin that I couldnt get from work (old decking and fencing has been waiting to be disposed of for a while and burning it seemed like the easiest option right now and the bin might prove useful in the post apocolypse winter times). Also Transformers Definitive Collection picked up. (Kindling for the post apocolypse time)
