Morning all!
Yesterday not such a good day: got myself in a bit of a state over what was clean an washing my hands again. The body wasn't having fun at all. This has continued through a bad night which will all but wipe today out, but for large parts of the time I was awake overnight I could breathe through both nostrils which is a HUGE improvement. Right one closed up again but I feel that's moving forwards.
Please pray for the sinusitis to continue to recede, and that the effects subside. I've also got a lot of muscle ache on the the left side of my body still, and in my neck, which I could do with going: I suspect there's some association there. Pray my head does better today and for our continued protection.
Thank you. Hope all OK out there!

But I needed an incinerator bin that I couldnt get from work (old decking and fencing has been waiting to be disposed of for a while and burning it seemed like the easiest option right now and the bin might prove useful in the post apocolypse winter times). Just be mindful of your neighbours when it comes to making smoke, chum. Now's not the time to be irritating the asthmatic two doors down. And you shouldn't burn wood that's been painted or treated with other nasty chemicals - toxic stuff that should not be released into the atmosphere. www.environmental-protection.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Garden-Bonfires.pdfMartin

We don't just have medics and scientists here but there is a Hub Environmental Protection Officer too. I was pondering burning a load of cardboard, wood and old fence panels now the tip is closed but I don't know if the wood stuff has been treated or not so decided just to stack them all up until the tip reopens and we can go.

Always the safest way. If there's one rule to live by in these difficult times, it's 'Don't Be the Neighbourhood Arsehole'.

Travelling around for work. In my gloves and face mask (supplied by partner, NOT by workplace) all that is going through my mind is: 'I AM BANE!'. I must find The Batman so I can break him.

You must draw him out then.

Or just draw him. That would work.

Full days here. And everything takes three times longer as well on this tiny screen with very intermittent access to work's finance systems and data so we're all up to our eyes in it.
I have had to stop looking at articles about what to do with all this amazing free time we have all suddenly got. I feel for many of my colleagues who are all balancing childcare as well.

I'm not going to moan. This is the first time in my teaching career that I haven't had to work evenings and weekends. It's quite strange trying to adapt to the fact everything isn't in a rush for once.

Yeah I am kind of annoyed it is assumed people have all this free time. I haven't even had time for OU study. Work is keeping me very busy. -Ralph

SHIFTY PINWIG CLONE GOT OFF THE TRAM AT BURY. I wonder if he was in league with the guy who came over to tell me that he was a drug dealer and leads a life of crime. I assume his bulging briefcase contained his wares.

I have come to realise that when at school, the day is marked by the number of lesson changes; when at home, the day is marked by the number of times I need to go for a pee.

I had a moment of utter stupidity today on tram number 5. The first part of it was trying to eat lunch on public transport during COVID-19. I only realised this after I had tried to eat a sandwich and was confused when it bounced off my face mask.

Too many is the answer. It's drinking so much during the Joe Wicks session that does it.
Or I'm just getting old.

After a lot of overtime last week my life has returned almost entirely to normal. Even the overtime wasnt that unusual to be honest.
The normality feels weird everytime I hear basically everyone else talking about how different the last few weeks have been for them.

Head is burling. Work email pinged at 4:30pm. They are asking all employees who would like to be furloughed for 3 weeks (in time everyone might be anyway) to put their names forward. We would still be fully paid with 80% of wages coming from the Government scheme and 20% from employer. So a good deal. Apparently forms are coming out which we need to send to HR by lunchtime Friday.
2 weeks ago we were told everyone's wages were guaranteed for 12 weeks so Something Has Happened, I presume.
I'll apply for furlough in the morning when the form comes through on the grounds of living with partner with asthma who is on reduced medication awaiting a review, my increased anxiety and having an underlying health condition.
I expect to be told no but worth a go, eh?
