I've seen it suggested Sideways might be a partial of Solus Prime. You can get pills for that, champ'.

Is this... is this something that anyone actually wanted? Star Convoy, sure. I'm very down for a proper Star Convoy. But an extremely oversized almost two foot tall Star Convoy? Have people actually been jonesing for that?
Have we hit the "We're completely out of ideas for this overpriced size class, but still refuse to drop it" point?

Hit it? We've gone straight through it and come out the other side.
I can see the logic to this (sort of) if they were trying to emphasise the base mode. But this is Hasbro, and we know what their base modes are like. So I can only see this as being massively pointless and pointlessly massive.
Still... intriguing things to come, if nothing else. I look forward to finding out nothing about them at all during October.

IIRC There's a G2 Grimlock on the Leaders List for next year. You're right, not obvious if it's Leaders or Core

You're right, not obvious if it's Leaders or Core I'd be surprised if it wasn't a reuse of the combining Cores - Hasbro do like to get their money out of molds. And whilst it seems unlikely it'd be a box set of all the Studio Series Leaders... I actually wouldn't put it past Hasbro to put out a five-figure Leader box set for £350 or something.

Hmm. "Not for me", as the saying goes. Nothing here that sparks joy for me. Also, Dinobots again? They've literally just released the last of a set of five Dinobots... Also, add me to the list of Titan price-point Star Convoy? Er, what the heck? Even allowing for the fact that they are going to want to make it resemble whatever unused animation model exists for it I can't understand why they would need that much plastic to make a Star Convoy toy. It just seems... excessive. Esepcially given that it isn't going to have the the motorisation so its just going to be Star Convoy, but at the size of an eighteen-month old... Just making a Star Convoy at the Commander price point should surely cover shoulders, ankles and head rotation etc and put it in line for the annual Optimus Prime slot. Titan price point seems...excessive... Karl

Evidently the last few Titans haven't sold as well, so they've decided to shove a Prime in there to try and get that dollar. As we've seen this year, Primes sell well.

I think I'd go for Star Convoy if the base mode was genuinely good, but I reckon it would be another one of those ones where you just end up feeling the original, with its motorised play features, is better. I don't need a Titan size Optimus Prime, it's just too big. Unless this turns out to be a two pack of smaller size figures with connectivity, like Grandus ala the Star Saber Haslab.
No, course it won't be that.

I'm happy to wait and see what they do for a Titan Star Convoy. If they want a base mode big enough to interact with deluxes, it has to be this size class, and the robot mode design could look good scaled up and greebly. He wouldn't just be a big G1 OP, he'd be something a bit different which could be enough to make this work, while still being recognisably the classic character.
I was half expecting Energon Omega Supreme now that we've had two titans from the other parts of the UT, but Energon does seem to be the odd one out in terms of updates.
Still think they should have done Overlord by now though, to hell with cartoon scale just homage the toy!
Not fussed about G2 Dinobots, even if it is the SS86 moulds, unless they are of unreleased decos like Swoop to complement the Toxitron line.
Interested to see what they do with the Aerialbots. I'm fairly happy with the UW version, but it could be better.

IIRC There's a G2 Grimlock on the Leaders List for next year. You're right, not obvious if it's Leaders or Core New possibility: G2 Grimlock individual was cancelled, and this is a leader Grimlock, Snarl, and Slag three-pack. Also possible, Grimlock will continue, and this is a leader Snarl & Slag two-pack to complement and finish the set. Starting to think that the last one is what this is.

Moved back. Apologies That was me: I believed we'd reached agreement to refrain from comments like those here where, although likely, we couldn't be sure and that discussion of the origins/validity of leaked images would be had elsewhere - potentially tmukhub.proboards.com/thread/8789/ - in order to concentrate on the toys here.. Could we park the subject here for now, but perhaps revisit it down the line? My head is having a bad day and I don't have the brain for having a discussion on the subject right now.

I doubt the validity of the info presented to us. That has hinged fingers, a feature never done on voyagers in the past. That's reserved for leaders.

Legacy Vector Prime has hinged fingers, but I was surprised about that when I noticed it for the same reason!
