Aha. I must have missed the bit where it said "Retro". Or they updated it after I looked. That'll be it. Definitely not me failing to read properly.

May not be Marvel. The SW Black Series comic editions pulled from different sources/publishers.
If there are 2 more TF comic editions they may be based on Dreamwave, IDW or even Skybound decos.

May not be Marvel. The SW Black Series comic editions pulled from different sources/publishers. Indeed not. But having done an IDW series of boxsets for Amazon in 2023, I'd say that that option is less likely. Plus I suspect that this is part 40th, part tie in/promo with the new Marvel Collections also announced today

Armada Tidal Wave and Galvatron play Cybertron Hotshot, Starscream & Vector Prime Size wise Armada is winning it, plus there's the toys from last year where Cybertron has Galaxy Force Op & Titan Metroplex a little further back. Starscream's an excellent choice since we didn't get the original voyager and Vector Prime is a good one too. BUT We want Armada Minicons. We want SG Sideswipe & Minicon in the Wheeljack colours. We want more cons. We want Starscream's repaints and remoulds. Surprised Vector Prime is Jhiaxus but can just about see it. I thought Jhiaxus was destined to be Armada Thrust, banged to rights. He may well still be, just odd to see something else get a use of the mould first.

Here's the studio series we know: Core BB isn't there. I wonder if he's confusing it for the deluxe "Next Gen" on? There were multiple BBs mentioned at one point:

I'm holding out hope that one of the Marvel comics characters we get is a The Enemy Within-accurate Sideswipe, with that off-model head! I mean, they can't ignore Marvel UK, can they? And it's been at least a month since the last re-use of that WFC Sideswipe mold...

Thoughts:
Two huge absences are finally being filled- Que and AoE Optimus.
Hatchet us uncanceled and no longer an exclusive
Nooooooo friggin clue who Widow Maker is... It's not even on TF Wiki.
Bonecrusher and Scavenger (arms) are deluxes, while Scrapper and Mixmaster (legs) are voyagers. Hook and Longhaul are MIA. So it's possible they're a commander class twopack, with all the devastator parts.

Grimlock PR! The bottom falls out of a profitable secondary market there, he's been going for silly money, even loose. Mine is still MISB, if I'd sold it yesterday I could probably buy three of the PRs and still have change...

Tra Gen Studio series Ldr TF4 Optimus prime Product Number: G0482 FINALLY. I do actually really like this design (maybe only because it's different, but whatever) so I've been waiting for this for some time. Let's hope they actually do a decent job here... Tra Gen Studio series Deluxe 86 Bonecrusher Product Number: G0568 .. Tra Gen Studio series Deluxe 86 Scavenger Product Number: G0570 Tra Gen Studio series Voy 86 Scrapper Product Number: G0562 Tra Gen Studio Series Voy 86 Mixmaster Product Number: G0563 Oh boy. Good luck to everyone trying to collect the whole set. You're at the mercy at the Gods of Distribution now... And I know they did the Bayverse Devastator as individual releases. And that was stressful, too. I'd say "I'm sure they've learned from previous issues" but we all know that's not the case. Also, there'll be a repaint box set at some point down the line. Surely. Is that an incentive to wait? And even if they're not, do you think they'll show us what Devastator's like before it's completed? If they don't, that's going to be a lot of going on faith. And a lot of them just assuming the fanbase will just throw money at them. Maybe it's time for Hasbro to get some assumptions tested and for things to not be taken as guaranteed any more. Tra Gen Studio series Ldr 86 Grimlock PR Product Number: G0485 Odd one, this. I see what Jim's saying about the after market, but with G2 Grimlock ending up being reduced and the Marvel colours version coming out, is there actually going to be a sufficient market for this..?

I'm happy with Combiner Wars Devastator. Sure he's a fall-aparty wobbly ol' chap, but he's more than adequate. I'm not in for all the inevitable 'collecting stressors' there.

I can imagine they're gambling on those aftermarket figures being a positive indicator - he is almost always on eBay, and when he sells it's quite some way over RRP. Given that he's part of a set which all share an aesthetic, I imagine there's a stronger demand than for the other more niche releases (even though both of those please me more, personally).
I guess the question is if there's the demand for the kind of size of run Hasbro do for a retail release? Five years (!) on, maybe there's going to be a new market among kids who would not have been old enough the first time round?

Ooh, Apelinq. I've been waiting for that. Hopefully it'll be fairly distinctive from Primal.
What a shame that the Mayhem releases are including some characters that were never part of the squad, rather than actual members. I'll be optimistic and suggest that means the Pretender Beasts will instead get their own moulds in the not-too-distant future.
I'll have to see it but for now, the Turtles van doesn't excite me, seeing as they had a transforming wagon in their own line thirty-odd years ago.

I'd wondered about Widow Maker myself. I think Hasbro have crossed the line between mining for obscure characters and scraping the barrel.
Speaking of obscurities, Double Punch? Presumably a Scorponok repaint.

I'm guessing the Studio Series Constructicons won't show up until 2025. Still, when you look at the size of the Studio Series Dinobots, SS Devastator is going to be one BIG puppy when combined!
I still want my SS Swoop before them, though!

Well there's some interesting news. I'm down for another Devastator. He has always had the allure of the unobtainable for me back to those halcyon 85 days so I tend to feel the pull quite strongly. Also, combiner team. Sold.
I would love to think the PR Jazz has fixed the discolouring problem.
