Then you must deny the Studio Series 86 Dinobot Road.

Perhaps after the Movie Rodimus gained the ability to crap out once dead Autobots from his rear using Matrix power.

This is not Studio Series 86 Rodimus Prime though is it? It's Kingdom Rodimus, so totally different canon.
Was the detaching trailer ever actually seen in the G1 cartoon?

The toys are interchangeable between the lines. The Kingdom Cyclonus, Galvatron and Rodimus Prime are effectively their SS86 toys

I mean, you may say that, but there are clear aesthetic differences between the lines. Siege/Earthrise/Kingdom is nowhere near as screen accurate as SS86. Close enough, if you squint, but not for me.
Rodimus and Galvatron I'm probably gonna skip, unless I find at a massive discount.

There's lots of pics, especially from Takara Tomy, treating them as the same thing both online - see the SS86 thread only this morning - and in print in Figure King & Geenerations 2021

The lines aren't quite the same. Kingdom Cyclonus has nipple points for attaching blast charges (SS86 does not). Kingdom Rodimus looks much more detailed than he was in the Movie and has some aesthetic differences as well as having a sword from a comic. Kingdom Galvatron has 'battle damage' paint decos, SS86 toys do not not.
They are very similar but SS86 and Kingdom are quite different in some respects (at least in their final production forms). Kingdom Movie characters can go beside SS86 toys but they don't *quite* match up.

By that, then Grimlock isn't SS86, either. Neither is Scourge. Or Jazz. Kup isn't particularly screen accurate either.
SS86 isn't a monolith of screen accuracy devoid of detail, like most sunbow MPs.
The movie bots of Kingdom were designed to be companions to SS86. Both sets were designed as one group.

The detaching trailer was shown in the cartoon by the talented Akom in wonderful detail and fluidness a couple of times when Rodimus morphed into robot mode.

Kingdom Cyclonus has nipple points for attaching blast charges WHAT. Cyclonus has explosive nipples? Is that screen accurate? Was it in a deleted scene I don't know about?

That’s looks so much better than Rodimus does. Was he only ever meant to be a temporary guardian of The Matrix, keeping it warm until it could be passed to the true chosen one, Huffimus Prime?
