Except I thought the thing about Studio Series generally was that it was screen accurate and in scale. Umm, except for the right Kup being in Buzzworthy. Oh dear. I was quite into the core idea but it's too inconsistent. Prime, Scream and Soundwave, yes. But Megatron is way too dark and Hot Rod looks... Well he looks crap. |

Okay so like, maybe I'm being paranoid, or cynical, but as more time goes by, I've been getting a really weird feeling about "dragon megatron," that it's not going to be what we expect.
It's either not going to be TM2 Megatron, or it's going to be a really weird take on him that isn't satisfying (similar to Golden Disk Grimlock).
So I'm thinking it's either going to be a retool of Kingdom BW Megatron, or a pretool of Deathsaurus.
And that the dragon will be either 100% organic, or 100% robotic.

I'd say Cybertron Ransack from Legacy Arcee is equally plausible Also there's a fairly significant difference between Show and Toy Terrorsaurs. In fact, Kingdom Terrorsaur may look significantly better in toy colors, given it's not a great representation of the show version |

So Minerva’s going to be an exclusive? That’ll go well. Although we might be okay in the UK - we seem to have gotten stuff through.
The big concern is that Goldbug - if they finally do a proper Goldbug but make it part of a set that’s impossible to get I will be displeased. Although I’m guessing it’ll just be a repaint of Shattered Glass Goldbug, so it still won’t be a proper Goldbug and I’ll be safe.

I dont think they have much choice. Since Kingdom is mostly show cast and Botcon mostly repainted show cast moulds the overlap is pretty high. Its botcon with new characters or try flogging Fox Kids repaints. |

Im generally happy with my T30 Waspinator or repaints but that Buzzsaw is lovely.

In for Blue Bluestreak and Black Ironhide. The other two seem like fine recolours as well though.
If the name really is Black Guard I'm definitely going to treat it as Blackguard and pronounce it as such though.

Course where I'm f*cked with this Diaclone colours bit is where those colours have been repurposed for Shattered Glass, so I will need some of these purely for that reason. Which is turn will probably lead to me getting the rest of the Diaclones because incomplete sets do my head in.

Ever one for seeing things laid out easily, here's a table of which Diaclone recolours are already out (green), those revealed/rumoured for next year (yellow) and those not yet touched that aren't identical to the actual Transformers release (blue text). Oh i like that tarp print. Usually for those things they just give the "fabric" pieces a texture. That gives the entire thing a bit more personality. Of course it might fall flat on it's face in hand. But i like the idea as presented in these pictures. |

There are a couple things:
It's hard to get excited about a list of rumored names.
For me personally, the least interesting of the officially revealed legacy toys (bulkhead) is more exciting than the word "bw inferno" from a list of rumors. And Inferno is potentially the most exciting thing next year, to me.
But Bulkhead wins because it's tangible and real, and we can see it.
The other thing is burn out. For the last few years, almost the entire line has been spoiled by rumors, every year. It's become a rather dull game of "who will hasbro "reveal," instead of "what's next?!?"
If I woke up one day and there were pictures of an entirely unexpected (but hoped for) Inferno and Tarantulas to complete season 1, do you know how over the moon I'd be?
But now it's just a matter of waiting until we see them.
And even if we avoid spoilers. If we hide them or ban them from the board, they're still impossible to avoid because they're front page news on every single TF site.
If the rumor guys got ostracized and stopped getting attention, then I think the hobby would become a lot more exciting again.
