I got Blitzwing today!
Despite all the cheating and the weird aesthetic choices (false jet cockpit on top of real jet nose to permanently replicate animation error), he's really fun!
ER Astrotrain was on the disappointing side, but Blitz is the total opposite.
I want a Leader-1 retool and a pre-beast BW Silverbolt repaint.

Interesting, the thread Phil links to reckons there seems to be an assumption from somewhere that legacy deluxe wave 4 has been cancelled and the new figures from that one shunted into next year's wave 1.

Nope. Legacy continues next year, this looks more like a "we can't do four waves this year because of X, Y and Z" thing.
Nothing has been lost bar some repacks

Yes, they've just taken out the padding. I wonder if this is about trying to get the release schedule back on track. It means Evolution wave 1 would be due around the start of December, which is what we're used to.

Oh, that is nice. Like Iguanus I can see me wanting that - they (and the Primemaster Skullgrin will look very nice alongside my Overlord as their Destron lackies.

Not yet, he's still on the list. Open too many at once and their individuality gets lost. Jhiaxus, Cyclonus & Wildrider plus a few MotU have been quite enough for the last couple of weeks. Override is next.

Very pleased with Blitzwing. Yes, the jet is naff and the tank needlessly Sunbow, but those alt modes are chunky and filled out. But the robot, that's just magnificent. For a retail figure it has real heft, I suppose that's the leader value hidden in a voyager height figure. He's like Jhiaxus in that there's no hollow parts, everything is carefully enclosed - I really like the way the panels on his forearms fold round to cover the recess where his hands come from. Similarly, the legs are really solid given they're just the wings folded into a square. Above all though, he just looks like Blitzwing.
