Well well well. Next year I need to massively cut back on modern releases. Ditch the FOMO on the Gen Selects as well, absolute waste of time and money, they will need to be something really special to tempt me now. I have started ditching packaging now so that needs to continue.
Selling stuff that no longer has a part in my collection begins in January!
Hopes wise, mainly I want Hasbro to give me a cheap year tbh, if the rumours on the Titan play out then that's an easy pass. Hoping for a couple of Dinobots at least, maybe some Omnibots, that would be nice. Supposedly we get Pointblank so a couple more autobot TMs would be great.

Black Zarak arrived today and I received a look that finally promised divorce if I don't deal with the lack of space..

HOPES
The Dinobot Road, although a slower journey than I'd hoped, is moving along, like so much Christmas Traffic. I hope it continues; I think it will.
So what I -REALLY- hope for is for the Mini-Autobot Road to pick up its feet again. It seems currently to be stuck in warm sticky tarmac; lethargic, wheezing, atrophied...
Please start doing those awesome Minis again.
PREDICTIONS
I have no interest in anything other than completing The Two Roads.
Therefore I predict the need for patience...
Not a natural state of mind for collectors...
RESOLUTIONS
No need for resolutions. I am immune to the whispers of transforming plastic mmmmman-sirens. I have reached a new harmony of collectingment and my bastion cannot be breached; my fortress clad in the unbreakable armour of aged nostalgic clarity.

Planning on buying a lot less Transformers in 2022. Been through too long a phase of buying stuff for the sake of it/FOMO. Not being in physical shops as much has caused too much disconnect between what I actually want or not.
Focussing for now on Beast Wars related stuff and Core Class.
Oh, and the Haslab Victor Saber (already paid for), if it turns up end of 2022.

Hopes
We know so much about what's coming it seems there's little left to hope for but that it will be good! I guess I can hope for a nice surprise...
Oh, one hope I have is that the TF/Joe comic license situation means the rights for reprints end up somewhere interesting and we get something good - omnibi / epics would be amazing, for example
Also hope that reissues keep going with more BW stuff (and hopefully some non-BW toys)? And I hope I find an affordable way to buy them - over here they've shown up at just the one importer and are seriously overpriced IMO, so despite wanting a couple of them I've kept away so far.
Predictions
Legacy Menasor won't please many people, for multiple reasons (not scramble city; Prime breakdown; Motormaster not quite right; etc.). Hasbro announce an exclusive G1-style Breakdown (maybe for 2023) that will please some of them, and it will become like gold dust.
Supply chain issues will bite, and prices continue to rise, and certain entitled sections of fandom will show themselves at their worst as a result
Resolutions
Make the collection a bit more sustainable, and make some space, by offloading some stuff. Keep up the painting / drawing!

Top job there, Phil. I was thinking of doing that myself but I'll just nick your list.
Mind you that list is quite big considering at the moment the only new retail Generations toy we're getting before July is Blaster.

Ironfist - carried over from 2021
rotors for Rotorstorm - carried over from 2021
Energon Prowl & Checkpoint set
Superlink Scoponok
Universe Air Raid & Wind Sheer
Universe Soundwave & Spacecase
Universe Minicons Prowl & Terradive To buy less exclusive recolours I don't need - carried over from 2021 To get the boys in to clear the loft of as many non TF toys as possible - carried over from 2021 Spend less money on toys - so less than £3385.00 tmukhub.proboards.com/post/465095/thread

Hopes:- None. Hope has forsaken these lands.
Predictions:- The new Nickelodeon show and associated toyline will not be released this year due to reasons.
- The Buzzworthy Bumblebee line will continue to put out the most interesting toys, and continue to be the most unavailable.
- The Studio Series Bumblebee Movie toys will continue to be quite desirable.
Resolutions:- To really buy fewer toys this year. They're just cluttering up space now, and I really don't have time to fiddle with them like I used to.
- To not adhere to the above resolution should the mood take me otherwise.
- To start condsidering downsizing given the first point. My worth really isn't tied to the number of Optimus Primes I own.
- To double-check the number of Optimus Primes I own, just in case it is.

I hope to cut back on buying TF's. Stop pre-ordering and wait for something to come out and look at reviews before deciding if I want something. Stop being caught up in FOMO. Buy less online and more in-store, where it's easier to know if I really want something!
Check and see what can go to Toy-Fu. Stop buying minor variations of moulds. Stop buying Siege Megatrons.
Keep number of new TF's under 25 this year. Plan to focus on BW and Core Class.
Less purchases and more focus = more fun and better budgeting. I hope!

With no new Masterpiece mould announced, I'm struggling to think what I'm gonna buy this year! Hoping there'll be a TakTom MP Hound reissue with QC issues resolved and Jiang Xing finally show renders/prototypes of Metal Beast 02 Tyga Eagle (MP Tigerhawk).

At this point who knows. 2022 was the 8th or 9th year in a row that I have managed not to sell off any of my collection. The last piece I sold off was TF4 Optimus Prime (the "G1" cab version). I really hated how I would spend so much time and effort to collect and then see so much of the collection go. I still to this day really regret getting rid of my Unicron Trilogy toys and Transformers Collection/Encore toys. But I am happy with all I have and have no plans whatsoever. We'll see what hits my fancy.

Time to score the predictions for 2022.
I failed to make a proper set of predictions again, however it would have been sunk totally by the MotU invasion.

Hopes:- None. Hope has forsaken these lands.
Achieved. And quite right, too.
So: - Half right - we've yet to see the toys in the UK.
- Correct - see Legacy Goldbug.
- True. For me, anyway. Although there weren't many more announced either, so tricky to call. But I will.
Well, I certainly did buy fewer TFs this year. Haven't actually started downsizing yet, simply due to time and space, but have been putting thought to it as I've been looking over older toys. So not a bad set of predictions and resolutions, really.
