I'm looking forward to finding out which band they've dragged in to give an exciting live performance (at gunpoint) this time!
But this is interesting - PulseCon started because of the absence of in-person events such as SDCC, so it's interesting to see that it's going to keep going. I guess it must give them the results they want (i.e. lots of sales), and it probably costs a lot less than live events, so guess they're going to keep going forwards with it.
Which does beg the question of what, if anything, they're going to do at SDCC. I'm assuming that PulseCon will remain focussed on the Generations lines, and hopefully this means that SDCC can focus on Earthspark, and possibly also Rise of the Beasts. Hopefully...

In addition to 15th anniversary Studio Series product display, the team will have a live unboxing of the Transformers: HasLab Victory Saber, Oooh. Does this mean we can expect ours soon? That'd be nice... ...and Transformers: EarthSpark product will also be on display. Oh thank gods. If that's 1pm PT then 9pm BST Are these available online, does anyone know? I will of course check for myself, but just in case anyone already knows. And I'm mostly asking for the Earthspark stuff - the toy reveals will be "leaked" anyway well in advance of 2100hrs here since doubtless Hasbro will have them on display at the 'con, so as soon as doors open then pictures'll be out. |

It's only really just occurred to me that there wasn't an SDCC exclusive this year. Breaker was more a reveal for a forthcoming Selects, and Hasbro showed off the Trion/Pax set, which will presumably be the Hascon Exclusive, but there wasn't actually one for the show.

They seem to have drifted away from that, now that they've learned that through Pulse and other channels they can have "exclusives" all year round. Which is a shame, because the SDCC exclusives used to the ones that were the most inventive, and occasionally a little bit batshit. (Looking at you, Knights of Unicron.)

They largely stopped being the most imaginative exclusives some time ago, unfortunately.
After the KoU, I believe the only ones with actual creativity were the Combiner Hunters, and Ghostbuster Optimus.
Aside from them, it's been "movie dinobots in g1 colors," "CW devastator with shiny purple," "Metroplex with an extra gun," and "a mostly unchanged T30 Jetfire with a bunch of joes"

Don't forget the cardboard Ark that came with the movie Dinobots. That is fab. But less so one of the Dinobots being missing from the set and turning up as an Amazon exclusive some time later.
