I'm going to assume it was a bit of both. In that economics restricts how many play features you can put in a toy these days (just compare Cyberverse with Beast Wars to see the difference), but also that with Generations they've chosen not to "waste" any of their budget on play features, but have decided to focus on making the toys poseable and "premium" looking. Which kind of makes sense - Generations is essentially a partner line to their Star Wars figures now (which haven't been for kids for some time), and you don't see nonsense like "fun play features" in those, so you shouldn't get it in Generations either. Which is a shame. And why Titans Return remains the best Generations line to date. Anyway.

That seems to be an odd decision - I wouldn't have though that September would give retailers enough time to plan their stock orders before Christmas. But the comments in that article seems to suggest otherwise - I guess things move quickly these days.

Are we still waiting for anything previously leaked to be officially revealed now?

There's still a ton of stuff. Almost the entire legacy line has been leaked, but only wave one revealed. It's about time for Wave 2 to be revealed as wave 1 is starting to turn up.

Seems like an odd time. Tuesday morning? But a reasonable length time slot. Probably bits from multiple lines?

We've a near complete list of names but I think there's only two Legacy items beyond W1 that we've seen Leader Blitzwing & Titan Cybertron Metroplex unless anyone knows different?

Gosh, are Power Rangers still going?

Yes, but it's fallen victim to their version of geewunners as most periphery things are exclusively MMPR (though hasbro's "lightning collection" is about 50/50 mmpr+everything else), and transforming/combining zords are mostly non-existent

Seems like an odd time. Tuesday morning? But a reasonable length time slot. Probably bits from multiple lines? Well, the last Ftan Ftirst Ftuesday (or maybe it was a Tfriday..?) was an hour long, and they showed off, if memory serves, ftourteen ftoys. Most of them were already known to us, but that was still a decent number. Plus they also showed off the Action Force Megatron thing. So there may be a good amount to show us next week. OR they may just spend loads of time talking up mobile games. Who knows? Actually that VR game's been delayed, so they'll probably be wanting to push that, to keep it in peoples' minds. I'd like to say I'm hoping to see some Earthspark stuff, but I'm pretty sure that that'll be left for SDCC (or somewhen around then). We might get some RotB stuff, but since these things are usually exclusively Generations I doubt it. And also likewise for Earthspark. These events are for Serious Collectors, not those that play with toys! Now it's a race for all those YouTube personalities to get all their leaks out before then so they can grab all the clout they can!

Soundwave - clean Siege version Ahahahahaha. -Ralph This kinda thing is what really annoyed me about my first Hasblow Fan-day Video-bollocks-thing: "oooohhhhh look at none weathered Soundwave, it's so fucking amazing, you really need to buy him- BUT we still love the WEATHERED version; that's absolutely wonderful as well still! Slurp Slurp. Corporate BULLSHIT MERCHANTS!

Are... Are you dissing... Mark?
You can't do that. This is a man who can hide Optimus Prime in his beard.

I quite liked Mark, having paid attention for the first time ever. He's like an excited child who just wants to show you ALL THE AMAZING TOYS, and was quite sad he couldn't.

Well, maybe I'll give 'Mark' another chance, based on the accolades of The Pins and The Urz', but, fuck-a-duck, I struggled through that. I chose to watch that -thing- instead of watching my children playing Star Dew Valley whilst eating pizza. #sacrifice.com

Okay, well in context, Mark we like because the first one of those he did he was clearly stoned and that ramped up his enthusiasm even more. All the others do come across as vacuous marketing drones.

Ok. I will allow 'Mark'.

The best thing about the stream was the reveal that Mark's beard is making a return. All is well with the world.
And yeah, this stream they seemed to get just right, with Mark providing the right amount of enthusiasm and behind-the-scenes chat to keep it going. And, unlike the person that was introducing the Robosen Prime, he genuinely seemed enthusiastic about his work, which always helps. He's not necessarily the best presenter, but the authenticity more than makes up for it. His enthusiasm about Motormaster nearly sold me on the toy. Nearly.
The best thing was that Mark had a boxed Jhiaxus behind him for most of the screen, just obscured by his body. And he clearly knew that we'd all seen *something* there, because he kept turning in a way that *just* teased a little bit more of the box each time. I appreciated that level of tease on a Tuesday.

Yes! You know there was a point he was thinking, "I could say anything now because I know no one is paying any attention to what I'm saying; they're trying to work out what that white and yellow figure behind me is."
